Interesting presentation. It certainly didn't meet expectations, whether for better or worse.
Just some quick points because it's 5 am here:
1. A little bummed out by the price. $300 is on the higher end of what we were expecting, but not terrible. However it's the bare bones package (no pro controller), and online services are paid.
2. Joycons and rumble/motion features. I really appreciate that these are there, and have a lot of potential. However I think these features got too much focus and the first couple of games we saw looked very gimmicky. Where's the substance in 1,2,Switch? (It wasn't actually clear what the game is!) Arms looks interesting, but why not traditional controls and make use of handheld mode? I think they focused too much on these features while underselling the hybrid nature of the machine here.
3. New Mario looks excellent, no complaints.
4. A decent selection of Nintendo IP but nothing to write home about.
5. Third party component was weak. There are some interesting games, but they wasted a bit of time here with some underwhelming presentations (Suda51, SEGA and EA in particular). And, strangely based on pre-presentation rumours, no Ubisoft whatsoever.
6. They're putting too much emphasis on Zelda, as if they've not got any other big titles on offer. That said, the new trailer was fantastic and my favourite part of the presentation.
Overall, I was personally a little underwhelmed. There's still a lot of missing info (launch titles, online, virtual console) so hopefully we'll hear more of that soon. I'm happy that Nintendo have gone with Directs for the past few years as I found the presentation to be a little dry at times.
They literally have just random stuff on their site that wasn't really mentioned in the presentation. Street Fighter 2 Ultra the Final Challenge is also on there. There's also some details of the subscription bonuses and so on. It includes a smartphone app which you can use to schedule games. Voice chat. You also get a "free" NES/SNES game every month and software discounts.

Eep. Especially considering that preorder that arose a few months ago for Β£200.
UK has been a difficult audience for Nintendo for a while and I'm afraid Β£280 is gonna be fairly off-putting.
Edit: To go back to my Wii example from a few pages back, whereas the Switch is $50 more expensive than the Wii at release in the US, in the UK the Switch will be Β£100 more than the Wii (Β£180) was!
Arms looks interesting, but why not traditional controls and make use of handheld mode? I think they focused too much on these features while underselling the hybrid nature of the machine here.
Because it's clearly built around them. Using traditional controls would feel as gimmicky as using Shake smash in Smash Bros. Brawl

Damn no RE7,South Park,For Honor,Sniper Elite 4,Hitman(The disc version),MVC,Tekken,Injustice 2,Mass Effect and Ghost Recon announced for the Switch. That's crazy
The Harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going.
βInternal memory
32GB of internal NAND memory, a portion of which is reserved for use by the system. Users can easily expand storage space using microSDXC cards.β
Physical-when-possible for me then. But sheesh, it's 2017, not mid-2000s...
I'm not sure what you were expecting. It's a portable device so a mechanical HDD wasn't going to be an option. It was always going to be under 120GB or so. And that storage isn't free. If they had gone with 128GB of internal storage the RRP would have been ~$50 more. Plus SD cards are cheap so. I think of all the things we found out about the Switch this, for me, is one of the least disappointing things.
Why is this launching in March if Nintendo can't guarantee a launch lineup for the thing?
Yeah, though it's hard to pin down exactly. I think so far there are two games confirmed for launch (Zelda and 1-2 Switch). Then there are a handful of others that have been given vague dates not long after. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for example is April in Japan. Then something like another 10 games that have either been pushed to the second half of the year or not been given a date at all.
So by E3 I think it's fairly safe to say we'll have Splatoon 2, MK8 Deluxe, Zelda and probably those two party game thingos. And also probably half of the games from third parties that have been mentioned. Is it earth shattering? Well no. It also makes me sceptical about getting it at launch except that Zelda is a thing. But on a positive note at least its launch window is better than the very low bar set by the Wii U and 3DS.
