Well a lot of people clearly aren't happy but I am over the moon.I thought the whole thng was fantastic.the pacing was great ,the ending was fantastic. And now we have this new info of moore games coming.
Mario looks phenomenal,as does Zelda,Splatoon 2,Xenoblade flaming 2.some awesome looking RPG;s,FIFA 18.
And now we have online Street fighter 2,Bomberman and Puyo Puyo Tetris ,those 3 alone will get countless hours of play from me.The Joy-cons with those extra grips look like a real game changer.
And to top it all off,it's arriving 2 weeks earlier than we thought.
They still need to have some good stuff to show at E3, lol. This wasn't everything we'll be getting by any means. I'm personally pretty pumped for this.
Damn no RE7,South Park,For Honor,Sniper Elite 4,Hitman(The disc version),MVC,Tekken,Injustice 2,Mass Effect and Ghost Recon announced for the Switch. That's crazy
So i guess the Switch will get support from the Japanese devs, the rest? Those suckers are going to be gone.
The Harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going.
@AlternateButtons No one bats an eye? I think it's stupid in general. I refuse to pay for online play on my PS4, so I won't treat the Switch any different. It's ridiculous, you already pay for the game. Besides, online play is free on PC. If it's possible on PC, then I don't see why it can't be possible on consoles.
Getting Day One for just Zelda alone. Hell yes! Don't know why people are complaining about paid online. How come Sony and Microsoft can get away with paid online where nobody bats an eye but if Nintendo does it, it's apparently a fatal mistake? Smh. Get over it. If anything, it means their online infrastructure will be more solid than ever. THIS IS A GOOD THING.
Do you know which platform has the best online system? PC. And it is free.
It all started so well when they announced it would launch March 3rd... then it was all pretty much downhill from there:
-£279: I know, Brexit, but that's very steep
-1, 2 Switch: just no
-Arms: I guarantee this will not sell. Nobody wants a Wii Nintendo
-MK8, Splatoon, Mario Odyssey, Skyrim and so on all not launch titles
-paid online
-Launch line-up non-existent except for Zelda
Before this presentation I was 100% preordering. Now i'm flittering between whether to bother or wait for the inevitable price cut in the fall and when they'll actually have games. This is going to tank hard I think.
The things I did learn: 1) Nintendo still hasn't learnt from their mistakes; 2) are out of touch with consumers; 3) are not prepared for a March release
Some of those translators were awful. I expect better quality out of Nintendo.
I don't know what Sega was doing there if they weren't going to unveil any new info
I was REALLY impressed with Koizumi's presentation skills. He really brought the life to the presentation
EA was a waste of time. They didn't even bother mentioning other sports titles. Just FIFA, the one I care the least about.
The hardware/ company decisions:
$299 is fine. That's the same price as the Wii adjusted for inflation. I would have liked it cheaper, but it's not a big deal
Not happy that we are going to have to pay for online. I can't really afford that on my budget, and I really want to play Splatoon 2.
However, the improved online infrastructure is promising
That launch date is really early. I'm surprised they only plan to sell 2M in a month.
I'm REALLY excited we are getting wand based motion controls again. Like, part of the reason the Wii U lost steam for the Wii name is that it didn't feature those characteristic controllers.
The IR camera looks like a gimmick with little game application
This definitely seems like it will be a jack of all trades system
The Games:
1, 2 Switch looks like a fun party game, but it shouldn't be 50 dollars when you can buy Exploding Kittens or Cards Against Humanity for a fraction of that price.
Arms was easily one of my favorite surprises of the presentation. It looks really damn fun. I'm just concerned about the 60 dollar price tag.
SO HYPED for Super Mario Odyssey. It looks like the perfect cocktail of a Sunshine style hub world. Some 64 style levels, and some Galaxy style levels.
Splatoon 2 looks really good as well, and I'm surprised about all the new content. I'm hoping they do something cool with the dual guns and the two Joy-Cons
Loving the new art style in Xenoblade 2
Project Octopath Traveler was clearly developed for 3DS
I understand why they didn't show Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. They wanted a focus on the new.
But Mario Kart 8 Deluxe looks nice.
The rest:
Good God these prices are insane. Nintendo needs to revise these.
The lack of launch support is embarrassing. Why would they launch the system in March if they can't guarantee a launch lineup for it?
Currently Playing: Steamworld Heist, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Tales of Graces F

Why is everything so expensive? Thought 1-2-Switch was going to be a free game or something, and Arms more of a small eShop title...
Four hundred Canadian dollars. Absurd. I won't be pre-ordering this. That's just too steep to warrant a pre-order. Sigh. Looks like it's gonna be another waiting game.
I'm looking at how $300+ for a PS4 or XB1 nets 500 GBs. I know an HDD probably wasn't viable, but the best I hoped for was built-in storage on-par with higher tier SD cards (128GBs and up). Is the storage type more expensive “per GB“ like some SSDs? Or is it just gouging? I'm reminded of the insane prices Microsoft wanted for 360 HDDs...
It doesn't work like that because you're paying for far more than just the storage. You are getting a console. And even if you were just getting the storage flash per GB is currently about 8x the cost of a mechanical HDD. So technically, dollar for dollar, 32GB of flash is the same "value" as them giving you a 250GB HDD.
Would 64GB have been better? Yes. Definitely. But 32GB isn't the scandal that you were making it out to be. I personally wouldn't have been surprised if we had got a 120GB premium SKU. That would have been nice. But it is what it is I guess.

An opinion is only respectable if it can be defended. Respect people, not opinions
-Arms: I guarantee this will not sell. Nobody wants a Wii Nintendo
I do. So do the millions of multiplayer casual Nintendo gamers who had nowhere to go to when Nintendo failed to follow the Wii with something they wanted (phones don't do local multiplayer and Just Dance still releases on Wii). So do kids. So do all the gamers who are open to trying new things when they are done well.
Arms clearly has a decent amount of depth to it.

Tales and Taiko no Tatsujin on the way. Yep buying this at launch.
Taiko is good for the soul, Hoisa!

Dunno if this was posted already. There's a more expensive version available as well. $100 is a bit expensive, but it comes with a carrying case, which is nice.
BTW on the topic of memory cards. If it supports cards larger than 32GB it automatically supports cards upto 2TB. Those cards don't exist yet obviously and if they did they'd be super expensive. But tech marches on and prices go down. In a 2-3 years when the Switch hits its peak? 500GB cards will be as cheap as 120GB cards are today and you'll wonder why on earth anyone was so worried.
@BiasedSonyFan: I'm disappointed in the paid online service, since this means I will be making the unfortunate decision to not pay for it. But other than that, I can't go to sleep, I'm so excited!
