The main unit 2 can also capture an image of a hand of a user (specifically, the vein pattern of the hand) by means of the infrared image-capturing section 123, to thereby authenticate (specifically, by vein authentication) a user based on the captured image. Moreover, the main unit 2 can also measure the pulse of a user by capturing an image of a hand of the user by means of the infrared image-capturing section 123.
The Vitality Sensor reborn, Switch Fit incoming, etc. Who needs retina or fingerprint scans when we can lock/unlock the Switch via our veins?
Well I'd argue that E3 2006 was the benchmark for a good console reveal. Here's the timeline for that:
0:00 - 2:50: Choreographed bit with Miyamoto conducting a few games (Red Steel, Excite Truck)
2:50 - 3:50: Reggie on stage talking, "Playing is believing"
3:50 - 9:20: Game sizzle real. Mario, Metroid, Zelda, Wii Sports
9:20 - 15:20: Reggie talking details/concept. Including a bit about all the people who loved the name.
15:20 - 18:00: More game footage. Again, Metroid, Mario and Zelda being the big ones
18:00 - 25:30: On stage demo of Zelda
25:30 - 31:20: Reggie talks about a few games for a few minutes each. Mario, Metroid...
31:20 - 38:00: Ubisoft demos Red Steel on stage
38:00 - 49:00: Lots of bits and pieces about the DS, eventually Iwata is on stage talking DS
49:00 - 56:50: Iwata keeps talking strategy with the Wii (new gamers & lapsed gamers)
56:50 - 1:03:00: Wii Sports stage demo
1:03 - 1:05: Reggie gives a two minute conclusion
So I think there's plenty of time in an hour to say what they need to say about the Switch. Especially given that they don't need to talk about the Wii U or 3DS. They don't need to spend time talking sales trajectories and corporate strategies. And they've effectively already show us the equivalent of one of those ~3min sizzle reals, that's what the Switch trailer was.
Basically in an hour I think they can talk about 10 or so different topics. Which isn't a bad amount when you think about it. They could talk price/date, hardware features, Virtual Console, System Software and services. Then have enough time to talk about 5 different games in a fair amount of detail. Maybe another 5-10 in a quick segment that skips over them pretty quickly. They can do that in an hour.

@skywake They also don't need to have any scripted on stage gameplay demos - they'll have a bunch of non-scripted demos during Treehouse Live. Hell, they could even have the UI showcase be during Treehouse.
One thing's sure, we need at least a 5 minute explanation of how to organise rooftop Switch parties.
We'll also need some information about how to find friends that love the Switch so much that they all stop what they're doing, gather around the people playing, and grin obsessively at the screen.
@IceClimbers
True, and those sort of demos do soak up a lot of time. At E3 2006 that was fine because it was all pretty new. But with a lot of those sort of demos it's a bit hit and miss. If you're not interested in the game being shown it's a good time to walk away from the stream for a few minutes. With the new style of Nintendo presentation a lot more can be crammed into an hour.

Unless they talk about BotW. They needed a whole E3 for that, are still talking about it, yet still haven't given us a release date.
Seriously though, an hour is enough time. Are we expecting no more information to be released after the presentation? On the contrary, the floodgates will be opened.
Considering it launches in March, they'll probably be doing their all out media blitz until then. But then again for Nintendo that might mean a few social media posts and a couple of isolated events in random cities

Well looking at previous presentations some of them actually have time stamps in the video. I'd say on average they spend about 3mins or so per game. But some things they talk about for around 10mins or so. For example the first reveal of Zelda:BotW was about 3mins long. But at E3 2012 they spent 10mins or so talking specifically about the Wii U itself.
Not a definitive thing by any means because at some presentations they do stuff that doesn't make a lot of sense. E3 2012 they spent 15mins talking about Nintendo Land. But still, 3-10mins is probably a good yardstick. Which means that over an hour I think we'll get at least around 10 separate things talked about. More than half of those will probably be games.

They showed us some possibilities with the Switch presentation, which lasted just three minutes. Just think what they can say and show in a presentation twenty times longer!
Rumor: Koei Tecmo working on new Nintendo-themed Warriors game for Switch
Koei Tecmo could be collaborating with Nintendo on another Warriors game for Switch, if the latest speculation is to be believed.
On Wii U, the two companies worked together to bring Hyrule Warriors to Wii U. The game was then ported to 3DS last year as Hyrule Warriors Legends.
YouTuber OBE1plays first claimed that Koei Tecmo is developing a new Nintendo-themed Warriors game for Switch. Apparently, the project is not a retread of Zelda, nor is it based on Star Fox. Laura Kate Dale, who has been posting Switch rumors over the past few months (many of which have proven accurate thus far), wrote last month that Koei Tecmo pitched a Star Fox Warriors title at some point, but Nintendo turned it down.
Following OBE1playsâ report, Dale wrote on Twitter that sheâs heard similar things about Koei Tecmoâs Switch game. She as well says it isnât related to Zelda or Star Fox.
I wonder if that Mario Samurai T-shirt has further meaning despite Nintendo's explanation. They could also use it as a means of selling a whole new wave of SCamiibo.
Lots of Nintendo franchises that'd make more sense than Mario. Star Fox makes sense but Metroid and Kid Icarus also come to mind. Kid Icarus in particular seems a good fit given what they did with the combat of that game in Uprising. And obviously Fire Emblem would work pretty well.
It's less of a question of which franchises make sense and more a question of which ones don't. Personally I think Mario is one of the few that seems a bit of an odd idea. But then again, maybe it being really odd is a reason to do it! Dynasty Warriors isn't exactly a series known for being grounded.

I'm thinking Nintendo themed with a whole slew of characters from all their franchises. Imagine an expanded Subspace Emissary mode from Smash Bros. Brawl. It could be their major SCamiibo game.
@TromboneGamer I just had a look there at the Switch thread on Reddit and someone mentioned the Kirby one is just from some user on 4chan who has made it up and isn't trying to pretend otherwise.
I don't trust anything that's a photo of a thing at an odd angle. The places where they'd be able to get a photo of it would be pretty heavily locked down. Far more likely someone puts some higher resolution files on a thumbdrive or something. Or from someone hitting publish at the wrong time.
Then again, me thinking that was how that EBGames boxart stuff managed to fool me....
