@XandertheWise I think the point is, no one else had a system update recently, so we don't know why only you would have one. Sounds like something odd is happening.

Whether the system update has something to do with the N64 Online expansion or not, I dont understand why I have to do the system update before i even have to play a regular physical Nintendo Switch game of mine whether its Zelda Skyward or any game.

I am getting tired of these updates

Here's a solution, dont play on modern systems. All modern systems are going to have updates that just how they are now. If you don't want to deal with updates don't play them. It's that simple.

then in October there's Metal Gear Solid Collection Volume 1 and Batman Arkham Collection which I dont need since I still have the Batman Arkham games for my Playstation 3 and still have Arkham Knight for my X Box One S and Arkham Knight for my Playstation 4

@skywake Not only that but the system lets you select "play software" when the prompt to update shows up, or at least for a suspended game.

Looks like the SAG strikes is about to now include voice actors for video games. That could affect Metroid Prime 4 depending how much has been completed.

@FragRed what voice acting? there hasnt been any voice acting in Metroid Prime since Metroid Prime 1 and 2.

Every single one of those games besides persona and 13 sentinels has been the exact same price within the last 3 months and judging by the sales trends will be again soon. Soo... not exactly urgent.

That said, if it were me I would snatch all the games less then 5 bucks. Especially since I own and paid more for most of those. 😆 Some of those 70%+ sales for already affordable games are insane good deals

I'm also tempted by the 13 sentinels sale; I'm trying to decide if it's worth waiting for another 6 or 12 months to see if it goes on an even better sale.

@FragRed i not sure if Metroid Prime 4 will feature voice acting at all, the game could be a contemplative isoleted experience

how many levels Super Mario Bros Wonder could have?

@Giancarlothomaz I mean, 3D world had almost 120 levels, super mario maker 2 story mode had 120 (plus a couple dozen official Nintendo levels outside of story mode). Nintendo seems to have a trend of at least 120. New Super Mario Brothers U Deluxe technically has like 164 plus a ton of mini game challenge levels. 🤔

Looking at some of the discussions online surrounding GOTY now that Starfield is out for those with the higher tier editions, and it seems like the general discourse is that the award is between Zelda TotK and Baldur's Gate 3.

The sentiment that I'm seeing is that Starfield, while an absolutely great game, isn't quite the "game of the generation" moment that it was hyped up to be.

@IceClimbers That doesn’t surprise me. I definitely feel this year it’s going to be Balder’s Gate 3 that will win GOTY. Starfield was always going to be impossible to live up to the whole game of the generation hype.

Everybody 1-2-Switch is definitely one of my GOTY 2023 candidate. 😁
