@NeonPizza Firstly. No, I don't consider my collection to be a waste. Most of it is not shovelware, I only keep games in my collection that I feel I'll play again at some point down the road. And those games I don't keep...I trade them, and put those funds towards other games.
Secondly, I'm not sure how boutique publishers crept up into either the wasteful spending or the MK 1 conversation? Uh...alrighty then. Considering I'm knee-deep into the hobby, oftentimes I'm not caught having to pay second hand prices for anything. But scalpers are going to scalp. I don't like it any more than you do.
Thirdly, I'm glad you agree.
Switch Physical Collection - 1,555 games (as of March 31st, 2026)
Switch 2 Physical Collection - 4 games (as of December 8th, 2025)
@XandertheWise Japan and Southeast Asia are offering physical copies with English sub and text support. No English dub for either though I believe. Probably a cartridge size cost issue.

I have ordered Pikmin 3 Deluxe.
The game will be arrived very soon.
First time i play Pikmin games.
I also have a plan to try the Pikmin clones on PS4 like The Wild at Heart.
It looks cute 2D style Pikmin clones.
@Magician
I'll agree with you on MK11 though. It looked rancid on Switch compared to the PS5 version
I was wondering what the hate of MK11 on Switch was for (I was always impressed by the smooth 60fps and good character graphics) and I saw that metacritic gave it a 78 reviewer score which is decent but a 40 player score. 🤪 The PlayStation 4 version got about the same; that's some impressive review bombing.
That said I bought MK11 for $10 on the eShop only for story mode, so I don't actually know how well the multiplayer part runs on Switch.
@Giancarlothomaz It only took me hearing them twice to reach the shut up phase.
It's especially weird since there is no other conversational voice acting (presumably). If the flower-toad-people talked that would be one thing, but why have the only thing in the game which speaks verbally in coherent sentences be random background shrubbery which likes to say nonsense.
So thanks to a certain content creator's comments in a recent video, I'm now kind of scared of the possibility that they're using an AI to voice Mario. On the one hand, they are pretty traditionalist by nature, which would mean they would prefer to use an actual voice actor. On the other, only one knows how strong of a allure it is to have COMPLETE control over this aspect of the creation process (not to mention how they wouldn't have to pay as much).
I almost wish the game will get leaked early so we can get the answer in the credits soon.
@BrazillianCara All Nintendo staff have already been replaced by AI, you just didn't notice. Any humans in the directs are just fake images and voices. 🧐
this current eShop sale is gonna ruin me; WHY DID ALL THE BEST DEALS HAVE TO HAPPEN THE MOMENT I GO BACK TO SCHOOL 😭
There are thousands of sales every week. 😆 If you miss this huge sale, just wait for the black Friday huge sale or the holiday huge sale. Which games are you thinking about?
anyone happen to know why there's another frikkin Switch system update to download?
i was up on the second floor in the laundry room in my apartment building and i was trying to play my physical game which was Zelda Skyward Sword. my switch lite wouldnt let me play the game because of another system update to download or whatever.
What the heck? that's been like, 3 or 4 system updates already this month?
@XandertheWise I'm guessing that patching bugs can cause new ones? I don't know.
Switch games are leaking, and in some cases running on emulators before release. If they're patching up certain exploits they won't be sharing that publicly. "Stability" can cover a wide range of things in NintendoLand.
@Kimyonaakuma what "emulators" you even talking about?
Just an hour ago, it was pretty much the 3rd or 4th system update download for my Nintendo Switch Lite and this month there's been enough system updates.
This tracks with what I've seen also. I was prompted to update a few weeks ago, I don't remember the last update I was prompted for before that. I haven't been prompted since and checking now my Switch says it's upto date. So either @XandertheWise is talking about game updates (there was an N64 NSO app update adding Excitebike a few days ago) or they're skipping updates and it keeps reminding them.
There of course have been times in the past where there have been multiple updates coming out quickly. Likely because their patch introduced bugs. There were 3 updates in the second half of April 2020 and three in the month after March 22nd 2022. If you look at the history that tends to happen after a major release, which makes sense. I don't think that's an issue, the more changes the more bugs you inadvertently introduce that you need to patch, but it's also certainly not what's happening now. The last major release version was in February and if anything they've been fairly quiet with system updates this year
Really, I have no idea what @XandertheWise is smoking here
