I pretty much only use my headphones with my Switch when I'm playing a rhythm games and the Bluetooth audio isn't viable for that due to the lag. Happy for the option to be there though.
@Eel
It just depends on what your reference is. There's some really bad wired earbuds out there. Some insanely good ones too though. But even the best, high end earbuds can't match headphones.
It's one of those things where, as long as you don't known what you're missing, you won't miss it (provided the lag is bearable, of course).
For years I used wireless and thought the same thing. Then one day I wondered, "is there something to all this talk of better audio? Or is it just fluff? I wanna find out for myself" and ordered a decent, entry level pair of wired open back over ear headphones from Sennheiser. And immediately was like... woah. It felt like original sin, when Adam suddenly realized he was naked. I suddenly realized the audio I thought was just as good, wasn't just as good. And then I thought, well, I wonder if more expensive headphones sound even better? And it led me down a very, VERY expensive rabbit hole. One I don't regret, but ya.
Suffice it to say, unless you actually listen to something far better, it'll sound fine. Ignorance can be bliss, after all.

I say what I need to say, whether it be 2 sentences or multiple paragraphs. Attacking an argument by focusing on the “length of a reply” is illogical and frankly, is evidence of you not really having anything substantial to add.
I don’t need to “convince myself”. I’m already convinced. If I wasn’t convinced I wouldn’t have bought an OLED TV, an OLED Switch, OLED phone and OLED tablet. I put my money where my mouth is. I don’t just say the concerns are negligible, I back it up by my actions. And you can always tell a person‘s true beliefs by their actions, not their words. My actions speak for themselves.
Nobody’s trying to convince you to go buy an OLED. I believe I already mentioned, if someone genuinely has concerns then they shouldn’t buy one. Say you’d rather not deal with the risk, however minor it may be, and move along. But you seem determined to convince the world OLED is some imminent risk to anyone who dares buy one, despite the fact tens of millions, if not hundreds of millions of people are using them just fine every day.

Read my original message again and stop being an absolute drama queen.
Does anybody have king’s bounty 2 on Switch? I am trying to decide if I should get it on switch or xbox. Reviews are mixed.

So, yeah, I'm using this $10 pair of bluetooth headphones I found at a Wal-Mart, and it sounds fine. There's a tiny bit of audio lag, but it's only really noticeable if I'm looking for it. I might stick to wired when I'm playing Tetris Effect on my Lite, but for most games this should work fine.
As a fan of the Switch, I'm used to accepting compromised audiovisual experiences anyway.
Just didn't appreciate their ludicrously over the top responses or them deciding for me what my intentions were with my replies.
Sounds like sorry not sorry.
I will say these Switch Pro rumours are starting to grate. We have an OLED version coming and all people can think about is something that doesn't exist?
@TheJGG Just when I think I could stop hearing about it, It just keeps on comin, People get mad at nintendo for things never promised and when they go ahead and say stuff like "Leaks say The pro will be shown off at this or that" Then have the actual nerve to blame nintendo for it, They can trust the leaks all they want, but don't throw a fit when it isn't real.

@jump Yes LMAO, Its sounds fine just like they said, But if there are sounds in the back its going to be hard, Plus some youtube videos like talking quit for some reason, so for the most part its a youtube issue, other then that it works just fine with games.

Only burn-in I've experienced on an OLED device was my wife's Pixel 3XL phone. It was only a couple of years old at the time but did get some heavy use - she's never off social media! It was mainly the battery indicator etc along the top of the screen that was the issue so can't see it being a problem on a gaming device unless someone is playing the same game constantly.
@Ryu_Niiyama
I do, but I haven't played much. It seemed fine to me though, as far as Switch ports go. Nothing jumped out as a red flag. I read the framerate can bounce a bit when riding around in the world? Think that was the worst that could be said for performance.

So I bought a copy of The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk because it was on deep discount, fifty percent off. Ugh, woof, regrets. The game performance chugs. And the difficulty (even on easy) is kind of rough. Never mind the fact that the potty mouth toilet humor script just...doesn't work well here.
There are simply too many better tactical rpgs on Switch to consider wasting time with this one.

Have you switched "Lower Max Headphone Volume" to Off in the System Settings?
Don't know if this setting is obvious, but it took me ages to figure that out and was wondering why hearing over headphones is so quiet. :')
@JaxonH hmm thank you for the response. Well I have until November to decide so I will see if I can find some more YouTube reviews first.
