@Haruki_NLI they mentioned Legends is using the entirety of GameFreak so they were never likely capable of developing both at the same time compared to the past where they have had multiple teams working on games.
It is a strange one, this is the first mainline game not made by them.
1.5 months to go. Pokémon fans looking for a proper game with modern graphics and cooler monsties to collect, where you can inherit skills like SMT fusion and create the ideal monstie, with a far more interesting story and superior battle system...

@Magician Yup. SMT III's battle system was a revolution for the way Atlus designs combat in their games, and some variant of it has shown up in nearly all of their games since Nocturne.
It's a bit barebones in Nocturne compared to the polished perfection of something like SMT IV: Apocalypse, but the fundamentals are rock-solid. I wouldn't be an exaggeration to say the combat in SMT games has ruined other old turn-based JRPGs for me.
That Pokémon Legends release date is really odd because a lot of people will still be playing BD/SP by the time Legends comes out, especially those who get it for Christmas. I just really hope Legends turns out to be good...

One of the reasons I didn't buy Pokemon B/W is that it had not been too long since I was done with Soulsilver, and not buying B/W largely led to me not buying almost any Pokemon games anymore.
So yeah, releasing the two Sinnoh games within 2 months of each other is certainly a choice. The only reason I'm not saying "bad choice" is that Pokemon games on Switch are probably bulletproof in terms of massive success, but if they wanted to test that theory, this would be how!
I'd guess BDSP sales would decrease as people wait for Legends Arceus given how obsessed the gaming space is with open world and wanting everything to be BotW.
SMTIII Nocturne is legit. I couldn't get into SMTIV because of how difficult it was (I was sort of new to JRPGs too though). With SMT3, you can change the difficulty down to Merciful at any time. And tje DLC has a dungeon for grinding XP and one for grinding money.
I'm really digging it so far. Made it out of the initial area and beat the first "boss" in the hospital, left, and made it to the first fast travel cylinder. So, not too far in, but enough that I'm thoroughly engaged.
I always liked SMT but just had trouble getting into SMT4. I did play a fair bit of Soul Hackers on 3DS though, which is what really started making me like it.
Now, I can confidently say I'm a fan. I bet if I went back and played SMT4 now it would be a totally different experience, understanding the series more now. SMTV can't come soon enough

@Grumblevolcano WOW Pokémon Legend Arceus is releasing eailer then i expected(i expected a march/april release window for the game, i hope until the january 28th release, Game Freak managed to fix many of the game framerate issue, or delay to spring/late 2022 to make the best game of the franchise.
@DarthNocturnal I just looked it up, the last update came out in 2019. It likely had the initial release when you got it. Some of the characters have been tweaked in the latest version.

My bet is that it will be postponed to the usual March window. But maybe they really have been working on it for longer than any of us realize.
Also saw a bunch of other games, mostly 1st party, on sale. Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition for $39.99, Pikmin 3 Deluxe for $46.99, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury for $49.94, Wonderful 101 for $26.99, etc.
