Datamine of version 1.5.0 sugest Nintendo is gonna implement the mecanic of your Villagers visiting your House in a future update for the game, if Nintendo add this mecanic to Animal Crossing New Horizons is gonna be a huge boost in Villagers interaction in the game, since they are very robotic in the game.

it seens that Level-5 is gonna cease it operation in North America and only on focusing in releasing on Japan, no Yokai Watch 4 for us.

Yokai Watch 4 would have easily sold 250k in the west.

More than enough to cover costs of localization. All Switch's bigger 3rd party sales have come from the west, as seen with Disgaea 5 and YS VIII.

Yeah, I was planning on buying Yokai Watch 4 (and the remake of 1), despite not having bought any before. It's too bad they stopped just as my interest was finally piqued.

Never owned a 3DS, so I was kinda looking forward to YW4.

I’m not sure this would change much as Yo Kai Watch, Layton, Fantasy Life etc were published by Nintendo outside of Japan anyway, it’s only the last few years they have started publishing it themselves and those games weren’t as good. I could quite easily see Nintendo picking up the slack again.

@JaxonH based on how nintendo has chosen dlc for smash ultimate, the 9th fighter pass should include a character from a series that has a character in the game. The 2 franchises I see getting more characters are Pokemon and possibly even The Legend of Zelda. For Pokemon, more than likely a gen 8 Pokemon, and for The Legend of Zelda, i don't know. Meaty reply, but I am just sayin. Also, Who should get added for Zelda if they get a new character? Let me know with @Marbio_King_YT!

That’s a fair point I was also considering today. Chances are Nintendo will handle localization for them in most cases going forward. Saves them the risk and still allows them exposure to the western market. And I believe their games will sell better with the Nintendo logo on the box (it’s just a fact, the Nintendo logo helps move units).

Maybe we’ll see Yokai Watch 4 after all. Especially since they announced localization some time ago, which means a lot of work must have gone into it already. Perhaps they wrapped up YW4, and are shutting down the NA office now that’s it’s done. One final release and then everything afterward will be handled by Nintendo or another 3rd party like XSEED.

Developed by Level-5, published by Level-5 inside of Japan. Outside of Japan, Nintendo published the first three games for distribution, so it's fair to assume they'd publish YW4. The question is, will Nintendo pay to have YW4 localized or will they pass on the opportunity? I'd like to believe Nintendo would look at the sales figures for Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth and Nexomon: Extinction and pull the trigger.

I've never bought a Yokai Watch game before and I was hoping I could buy an English release of the remake of the first game. It pisses me off.

NPD believe/predict Switch is gonna be the best selling hardware of Holiday 2020,even with the launch of Xbox Series X/S e PS5, again another sales/analysts who believe Switch can sell more then PS5 e Xbox Series X/S in this Holiday season, but is better wait to see if this become a reality.

That isn't much of a prediction. The simple fact is there won't be enough XSX or PS5 consoles on store shelves (or from online retailers) for folks who want one. Meanwhile, Nintendo will coast, selling well over 10m Switches before we ring in the New Year. Roughly twice as many XSXs and PS5s that are expected to sell in the same timeframe.

The 1TB microSD card is down to $182.99 on Amazon for prime day. Pretty sure that's the lowest it's ever been.

I still have plenty of space on my 512GB card so I'll hold out until next year but mannnn is it tempting.

Wow.

Even with 3 of them, one in each Switch, I could use another for the spare slot in my main Switch. The old 512gb I re-used for spare games is full, and has been for a while.

Ya know what? Ya. I think I will. Seems it’s gonna be a while before larger sizes release, and that’s an absolute 🔥 sale price (with my luck, 2TB cards will be announced next week, but whatever).

@IceClimbers Ugh, I really need one. My 400 has been full for a while, and the 512 is just not worth the upgrade. But at the same time, if I wait a year it'll probably be a third the price.
