@Giancarlothomaz I'm not gonna read that article as it looks like junk but Apple's business model isn't to support hardware forever. iPhones are literally given updates on the older models to make them work less well to encourage people to move onto the next one. If it's focusing on apps then it's a mute point since the decision would be made by the app's developer and not Apple.
This all sounds too good to be true, but then again Nintendo has been very kind to us this gen, so who knows?
I know - Nintendo's just throwing stuff at us this gen! I'm going to start my Galaxy 2 playthrough on 3D All Stars and once I'm through with that I'll be picking up the Pikmin 1-3 collection that's due out at the end of this month...
...more seriously - no chance. A remake of an older Pokemon game like Ruby and Sapphire on 3DS - sure. A release of emulated versions (aka the Red & Blue releases on 3DS) is something I could also imagine (even for the DS games, smudging over the touch screen stuff. Nintendo probably wouldn't do something like that but TPC might).
That collection of Pokemon games is literally never happening. Game Freak actually being that much in touch with what their fanbase wants seems to be more of a pipe dream with how much more corporate they've become as a developer as of late
I was surprised Nintendo even considered doing 3D All Stars in the first place given they barely ever release collections for their first party games nowadays. Only other modern examples I can think of are Super Mario All Stars on Wii (which was also a limited release and was basically just a straight port of the SNES game) and the one they did for Kirby's 20th anniversary (which is actually pretty good in terms of extras from what I've seen
@TheFrenchiestFry my heads goes to Metroid Prime Trilogy on Wii more so than Super Mario All Stars but I wouldn’t surprised if there’s some DS/3DS collection we are both forgetting.
@jump Metroid Prime Trilogy is a western only thing though. Japan got individual releases for each Metroid game. So I feel like HQ wasn't really involved in that decision.

On this supposed Pokemon Super Collection, while it does sound incredibly unlikely, I do have a theory as to it's existence.
Let's just say that GameFreak's development times were extended following the Sword/Shield backlash, especially when combined with COVID delays. Well, all of a sudden, 2021 has a main series Pokemon game sized hole in its schedule. So perhaps TPC went out to say, Genius Sonority (the only developer's who've made what are functionally main series games in the past), and asked them to put together this collection to celebrate the anniversary. They mix that with an announcement of the remakes launching in 2022, and boom, huge 25th anniversary release to patch up the situation.
So yeah, I think the only way a collection like this exists is if GameFreak is specifically NOT developing it.
@jump DS/3DS got a lot of third party collections from what I remember like Sonic Classic Collection, the Mega Man Zero Collection and Namco Museum but I don't remember much in the way of first party specifically.

@TheFrenchiestFry@jump All the waaaay back in the good old days they did have a Zelda Collection on the Cube. It was very limited as well. They had another one with just OOT and Master Quest on the Cube. But that one came with a limited copy of Wind Waker IIRC.
@Octane Zelda Collector's edition was never sold on the market (it was a promo exclusive), and Master Quest was a limited quantity pre-order bonus for Wind Waker (I managed to get one as a kid cause I got to go preorder the day it was announced, but they were out basically immediately after. Unfortunately, neither game was ever sold on it's own, and quickly became near impossible to get your hands on.
Every Nintendo 1st party collection except the SNES version of Super Mario All Stars and Super Mario 3D All Stars were rare (though the latter is gone in less than 6 months if Nintendo doesn't extend the deadline indefinitely like they did Jump Rope Challenge). Even Metroid Prime Trilogy was rare before it released on Wii U VC.

iPhones are literally like the longest supported phones in the market. That problem comes when they get supported too long and the OS updates outmatch the hardware.
Which they haven't really done in a good while. Guess they learned that just because the update runs, it doesn't mean it should be updated.
@Octane I had the one with 4 games on it. I sold it about 7ish years ago on eBay and it went for about £80. It was part of a clear out of stuff and I’m remember thinking of it as disposable money so I decided to treat my girlfriend to see Prodigy as she mentioned never seeing them before.
@Eel
Apple have admitted they slow downed old iPhones, they even got fined for it.
@jump that's got nothing to do with the problem with software updates though. That was apparently tied to battery health, the phone under-clocked itself to maintain a similar level of battery life as the battery became old.
And yes it's something they should've made optional since the beginning. From what I hear it's optional now? I'm not sure.
Edit: ah the article says it's still there but "less noticeable" on newer phones.
Not sure if this is the best place to ask, but does anyone know of some good Nintendo focused YouTube channels besides Nintendo Life, Arlo and GameXplain?
I've grown tired of the latter and I'm looking for a replacement channel.
