Oh mama, maybe they decided to forego a Briefing/Q&A as well as postpone the NX reveal just to spite all the leakers who are so adamant that the reveal will happen during the next 7 days? xD
If the reason is specifically because they don't want to field NX questions, well... Geez. They are so completely adamant at pretending the thing doesn't exist so far. How much longer can they manage that
@gcunit You're absolutely right. It is literally a phantom train, considering there is very little substance behind any of the hype. I'm gonna continue to be haunted by the phantom train until the real train decides to leave the station.

It wasn't a warning, it was a request. While I guess it wasn't 100% transparent, I meant can/let go of the bickering.
In short, he was trolling, you were feeding. Just ignore users that take that approach to their posting. Each time you replied to him he came back with more of it.
Nobody wins when insults start getting chucked about. You weren't chucking them, but you were baiting him by engaging with him. The thread quality was degrading for everyone else, and the two of you (sure, probably one side more than the other) end up looking silly.

@skywake Yup, that's what I'm hoping for, if we're lucky. A confirmation that it's still on track, maybe a narrower reveal window. I think they'll save the final name for the reveal, given their secrecy so far.
They probably will but I think if we get anything more than a date for announcement it'll be something like the name. Because a name could potentially tell us nothing at all while still being something. It's a good teaser.

At this point you have to think Nintendo need to say something publically about the NX. That doesn't necessarily need to be anything major, but if we go through October with nothing then it's going to lead to a rife of (most likely bogus) rumours about how the NX is delayed, Nintendo isn't confident in the NX or other things that could impact on public perception of the NX.
So Nintendo realistically need to attempt to stem the possibility that silence could lead to negative publicity of their upcoming console. I think just letting people know "we plan to talk about the NX in December and it is still on track for March 2017" is enough. It would at least squash any negative rumours as well as give fans/journalists an indication of when they will hear proper news about it.
Maybe Nintendo doesnt know when hey will give the reveal date of the reveal yet. All we know is that they said information on Nintendo NX will be coming this year. Heck they could even say the information we present to you now is that we will talk more about the NX in 2017. Which would kill alot of hype and I dont want that to happen plus I doubt that will happen cause if they say the system is still releasing globally in March then a January reveal is way to short to give knowledge to consumers about what the system is thus we will have a Wii U situation all over again. Hahah I think that was the longest sentence Ive ever typed. Hopefully we will get at least a reveal date by the end of the month. I would be happy with that.
@MarcelRguez Sounding like a broken record, but I think that for the fans, the date of the reveal doesn't even matter as much as knowing just when it's gonna take place.
But for the general consumer, and for the sake of allowing Third Parties to start advertising their games, Nintendo should start promoting the NX like actually ASAP!
Keeping their promises could be seen as pretty important as well.
