I'm not getting Stradia, at least not until it's been around long enough to see how well it works in real life, @JaxonH I'm sure BG 3 will come to consoles & PC after awhile, anyway! I'll carry on with DOS & look forward to 2, then

@JaxonH Eww, BG3 is Stadia exclusive? I mean I despised Google before, but that just puts it over the edge. Pitchforks and torches are essential now.

It's launching on Stradia, @NEStalgia .... I think they said it'd be on Steam, too? & it'd very likely come to consoles later

@StableInvadeel usbs on the dock work fine. Though seems slower than the charger that came with it.

@redd214 Oh so I guess it could be good as an overnight charging thing then! I don't really plan to play it all the time, specially when the other switch is right there on the dock, so it works for me.

Thanks for checking!

Dang, that's nice. Super tempting, but just doesn't make sense for me. I have my Switch for handheld stuff. Really holding out for a Pro version.

If I had the excess funds to buy any hardware right now, I'd be buying a Genesis Mini to go alongside my SNES Classic.

@IceClimbers
Yea. I need to get a SNES Classic. Though now I'm wondering if it's worth it because of SNES games on the Switch.

I regret buying NES and SNES Classic now that I have them all on Switch. I suppose it’s good because I have some modded games on there like the 3 Fire Emblem SNES games in English, etc. but I had those on 3DS and GPD WIN 2 and PC and Wii U already.

With Genesis Collection on Switch, I skipped the mini. No Sonic 3 or Sonic and Knuckles? No thanks. I’m done re-buying Genesis games over and over and over and still never getting those two games.

Bayonetta 2 on Switch Lite
Astoundingly gorgeous. I’ve been trying a bunch of different games on the Lite, and Bayonetta 2 just looks immaculate! The smaller screen really helps to smooth out any remaining jaggies. I honestly think this is one of the best looking games on a handheld I’ve seen. It’s really, really slick. I have a feeling there’s going to be a lot of other games that look really good to with that smaller screen.

But man, I forgot how fun Bayonetta 2 is. What started as a two minute test to see what it looks like turned into a two hour binge.

I got an SNES Classic as much for the novelty of owning a tiny SNES as much as the games I didn't own (or had never played). Like even when I get NSO, I don't have much interest in playing SNES games on it, barring maybe the ones not on SNES Classic (and maybe a bit of online Mario Kart). Also because if I stop playing Switch online games, I can still play my SNES Classic without paying an additional fee.

I'd probably do the same for the Genesis Classic Mini whatever its called, but mostly because I think I heard the Sega Genesis Classics Collection (which is longer than my stupid made up name for the Genesis Mini thing) aren't the best versions of those games? "I think I heard" because Sega has released some of these Genesis games like 5+ times in the past few years so I actually can't even keep track, but there are disappointing Genesis ports that Sega put out in recent years, I do know that.

I would strongly recommend the Genesis Mini. It has a few games that I previously hadn't heard of, like Toejam & Earl, Comix Zone, and Vectorman, to name a few, that are surprisingly fun. It feels more polished compared to the Nintendo classic editions in the sense that it has a better menu that is easier to navigate, and that you can still stick your hand through the cartridge slot and remove the Sega CD connector cover. Novelty is a huge chunk of these classic edition's appeal, and the Genesis mini has that in spades.

I'm really enjoying Link's Awakening, more than I thought given the original was popular, but not without major faults.

And I must say, this art style...I need more of this. This works.

@Knuckles-Fajita The art style already sold me, but it still retains its charm. I try to lose a heart around trees, just so I can watch Link eat an apple on the go

I wouldn't say no to an Earthbound remake with a similar, but clay, style. Even though that won't happen.

The artstyle for Link's Awakening is gorgeous. It's actually the only reason I'm even halfway interested in the game.

@JaxonH Genesis Collection has some emulation issues and input lag, and the Genesis Mini has a bunch of games that haven't been re-released in a long time. The lack of Sonic 3 and Rocket Knight Adventures is unfortunate, but the library does SO much right. It's the only Mini console I've ever been heavily tempted to buy.

Add games that were never released or never came West, @Ralizah ....

@JaxonH I'd get a Genesis Mini just for Wily Wars myself. It feels like the only truly worthless Mini console is still the PS Classic...which still baffles me.

@HobbitGamer They did a Clay style with Kirby and the Rainbow Paintbrush on Wii U and that was....mmm so good.

No interest in mini consoles generally. My main reasons for getting a SNES Mini were for Yoshi's Island (which had not been released on the virtual console, except as Mario Advance 3), and for the SNES controllers.

...and now NSO gives us both. I'll probably never touch the SNES Mini again.

At least 2'8".
