Hey question for all. Is there a better solution for a cradle charger for Switch than buying another dock? I'd love to not have to fiddle with the connection every time I want to put it down, but most of the products out there have a rep for frying the Switch so...

Grandia HD Collection is releasing next week. I know some people here expressed interest in it.

^ I may break my purchasing embargo for Grandia just to have my sale counted on the board. Depends on how much money I waste at the Taiko Conference.

@link3710 I use the little adjustable dock that Nintendo released (at work so I can't provide a shopping link) but I keep it in my accessories case (just second switch case with my NFC cards the baby dock, a charger, stylus, and a short usb-c cable (from the pokeball plus)). I've not had any issues and since it is Nintendo made, it won't fry your system.

I was bummed that GungHo Online has express zero interest in a physical release for the collection.

@JaxonH - As for the Switch Lite, I want one, but I'm holding out for the eventual Animal Crossing or Bayonetta 3 special edition Switch Lite. Or, if the gods truly bless me, a Shin Megami Tensei V Switch Lite. crosses fingers

The long delayed Switch release of The Walking Dead Season 2 and The Walking Dead:The New Fronteir is finally happening. Both will be released September 10th.

Sigh. I gotta wait till early next month until I can try to to buy the DQ switch. Being an adult sucks. Why pay bills when you can buy games?

I hope they do make one for those games. I’m not getting my hopes up though. 3DS got not one but two Fire Emblem 3DS special editions, yet they still didn’t bother to make one for Three Houses ☹️

Maybe the LiteSwitch will usher in a glorious new era of special editions and weekends of overtime paying for them all

Just got this awesome Mario Maker 2 steelbook case I imported from Europe. And I’m getting that glow in the dark steelcase for Luigi’s Mansion 3 exclusive to Game UK. Now, I just have to get that Zelda GameBoy steelcase somehow...

Ah, so beautiful. I wish NoA got these. Steel cases are probably my favorite form of limited edition games

@JaxonH Even though I have never played a Dragon Quest game (plan on fixing that soon) that Switch model is beautiful!!! Absolutely love the black and silver on the dock and the black and blue joycons!

On the other hand, even ignoring my other issues with Switch Lite, I really don't like the colors of that Pokemon Switch.

Dragon Quest is an amazing classic everyone should try at least once, although I will admit that up until now they have remained relatively old school, so if you don’t have the patience for that type of game it might not suit you well.

DQXIS does reinvent itself and modernize, kind of the BotW of the series, so to speak, but it retains its turn based combat, which some people like and some people don’t. Personally, I don’t have nearly as much interest in Final Fantasy after they went real time (though FFXII was excellent). I’m glad Dragon Quest retained its turn based roots. It’s the only AAA JRPG left that still does turn based. Which is why I think everyone should play it because, as far as turn based games go, you won’t find better than DQ imo, especially this one.

And the Pokémon LiteSwitch has been very polarizing. People seem to either love it or hate it. I am in the “love it” camp, but you’re not the first I’ve seen who wasn’t impressed. Oh, and the DQXIS Switch really is a beaut. The little logos all over the back are what sold it for me.

@JaxonH Old school JRPG fare is right up my ally dude. RPGs, JRPGs, SRPGs, and platformers make up a significant majority of my gaming. Followed by card games, shooters of various types and a little RTS. In that since I'm a very old school gamer. lol

Krome Studios has opened a kickstarter for a remaster of Ty the Tasmanian Tiger for the Switch. If it gets funded, it will have revamped graphics and audio, along with optional motion controls.

@JaxonH, don't get me wrong I love DQXI, but it's quite a stretch to say it's the "BotW" of DQ.

It's very much a, wonderfully crafted, iterative sequel. A new wrinkle here and there (as you'd expect from a sequel), and very pretty, but as someone who's played a fair amount of them (and I'm not saying you haven't) it's exactly what I'd expected a new DQ game to be.

Absolutely great game though, I agree.
