Or, at least they used to. Bangin GCU til March 2020, and you better believe I've got a full notebook page list of preordered games. Take advantage while the iron is still hot.

I've issued so many $100 certs I've lost count. 20% off GCU + 6% off with CC as Elite Plus member, double reward points and $10 back with preorder for games like Pokemon... and that's per game. Smashin' Sword and Shield at $35/ea delivered day one. And I bet they toss in a steelbook... Watch.

The question is, what to do when GCU is finally laid to rest? Quit buying as many games, that's what. Either I save 20% via GCU, or I save 20% buying 1 game less out of 5. And its gonna be the worst of the 5, so only the bottom 20% will get axed. That or half the games I buy, I'll wait for a 50% off sale. 0.5 x 0.5 = 0.25 saved, roughly the same as GCU + CC. Isn't math convenient?

That's for New Switch, and even then its "potentially modest increase" from a slightly higher clocked GPU. Doesnt guarantee anything.

But again, that's for the hypothetical non-existant New Switch model only.

I don't know if some of you experienced lag problems with Super Mario Maker 2 but my cousin is becoming mad.
He was already sad to not be able to use his Amiibo's collection like he did on the Wii U,
and now, he just called me to say that is not going to pay for the Online Service anymore because the game can play well for 1/2 hour and then he experience really bad lags and then it goes back to normal etc...

Are you experiencing the same issue ? Thank you.

It only lags on me during online multi-player.

Which I'm not particularly interested in to begin with.

@PCkid Yeah, online multiplayer is rough in Super Mario Maker 2. Reminds me of Smash Wii U's online.

My cousin told me that he experienced lags on multi for the major part but also during the solo.

That sounds worrisome. It should absolutely not lag at all outside of multiplayer.

Unless he's like, adding 100 hammerbros to every level.

Yeah but on the Wii U it was free, now you have to pay.

I've been not paying for laggy mediocre online and have also saved at least 20 bucks because of it. Go me!

I had dragon quest builders 2, hollow knight and majoras mask for 3ds arrive today from Amazon.

I'm now doing this silly thing I do where I'm doubting a purchase (dragon quest builders 2) and whether to return it or not. So far I'm undecided. I did the same with saints row (returned it in the end)

On the one hand the review scores coming in for DQB2 are great, but I'm hoping the bad camera controls and frame rate issues don't bother me if I do open it up and keep it. Hearing about the switch's fan being on full blast when the game runs bothers me a bit too. I'll be playing handheld if I do keep it. Anyone able to put my mind at ease? :S

Seems that the new revised Switch is like a less obvious Xbox One S as Digital Foundry suggested.

@Tangerine I've been playing exclusively handheld. I've barely noticed any framerate dips or dives - if they've even been there - and as I've said before the only problem with the camera control is that there's no longer a toggle for zoom in third person. Swapping to first person if within tight spaces is probably a better option than even the closest zoom the game can offer, though. I've also not noticed the fan running loud, but that could just be because it's in handheld mode.

@JaxonH yeah, i had god eater 1 and 2 on PS4 when I had one, but i never really got into them, due to my backlog. Of course, MHGU drew me into the genre a lot, so to have a "somewhat" of a story, I am excited to give it a run through. Along with DQB2, and my current startup of terraria on switch with a large world...lots of fun to be had. And to add to some of the others lists - my pre-order list is too big...my wallet is screaming again.

Of course they announce Switch Lite while I'm on a camping trip lol.

Looks like a perfect option for those that just want their Pokemon/Fire Emblem/Animal Crossing machine while cutting some costs for themselves.

Anyways, I'm for sure grabbing Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, Astral Chain, Link's Awakening, Luigi's Mansion 3, and Doom Eternal this year. Fire Emblem, Wolfenstein, and DQXIS will have to wait a bit, but I'll get them eventually!

well, i will be getting at least 2 probably. We have 4 kids, two of which love playing the multiplayer games with me, and this way they can have their own switches too to keep in their rooms or whatever.

Mua 3 very curious about that one, wil probaly wait on a price drop though

This "New" Switch is very much like what Sony did several times with the PS4. Modify the internals a bit but there is no real difference. It maybe runs a bit cooler.
