Oh dude, you need to watch the Treehouse footage. The military academy is just one tiny little feature of the game, and takes a backseat in the second half. But its amazing regardless. Love the military academy. Provides a perfect plot device for the story that unfolds, and a perfect way to socialize and customize the party, with choices being shown as a percentage of what other players chose.
It looks like it has Persona 5 syndrome and is going to end in GotY quality.
Watch the treehouse footage.

Based on everything I've seen and heard about it, Fire Emblem has moved from "good game that I'm excited to play" to "almost undoubtedly my GOTY." Especially now that Animal Crossing has been delayed.

100% grabbing Astral Chain and DQ from there. Some other titles I'm uncertain, as well as some I'll just pick up on PC because cheaper. (Thank you regional pricing, unless SE decide to be an a** again)
I'd never heard of that Dark Crystal series but I'm sold on the game already.... I hardly dared hope the Witcher 3 Switch rumours were true, so getting that Was delighted FFVIII Remaster, Spyro & Ni No Kuni were announced Was already getting DQXI, FE 3H & Oninaki, while I ordered Mana Collection physical & got Last Remnant Remastered, too
@Grumblevolcano No way. ALBW (The last original 2D Zelda) sold over 2 million units, there's no way they'll abandon them based on a remake's sales. Not that it won't sell well but... Considering the price to create one compared to the potential gains, the 2D Zeldas are still way too viable to be judged on just one release.
Zelda 2D will live on. Link's Awakening is gonna sell no matter what. All things Zelda are hot now, and it's cool that a whole new audience may experience Awakening for the first time ever. Some of my fondest memories were with that game on the GameBoy. I was like 6 years old when the game first came out, and if game cartridges could wear out, that one would have lol
Cadence of Hyrule is sooooo awesome. I played it yesterday just for a bit and seriously couldn't even get through the Kakariko tomb. Was getting mildly frustrated. But it's like an old-school game. It doesn't hand-hold you very much. You just have to keep dying and realizing how important certain things are. Yea, the rhythm aspect is one thing, but the subtle animations of the enemies, the patterns, the use of your shield/protect, and once you start picking up the bow, ice rod, etc. You really start to feel not only more experienced and therefore capable, but you have more weaponry to start getting creative with your approaches.
2D Zelda costs little to make and gives them more major franchise games to sell, more often. I can't see them abandoning it.
@JaxonH I watched the Day 1 footage so far, but hopefully there's Day 2 footage I haven't got to yet that covers more. The 1st day didn't leave the academy except for one map. I still don't like the academy section so much. It feels Valkyria 2 to me, which I also wasn't fond of. I think of it is "Potter Emblem." Not that I think it's a bad game...I'm just not digging the academy aspect so far. Digital buy for me either way though I think. (Bye bye pretty box )
Nintendo seems to want Zelda become a yearly franchise (just like Mario and Pokémon). 2D Zeldas are easier to develop for than big 3D open world Zeldas or even the linear ones. I doubt they'll stop unless if it's an abysmal seller (like less than a million copies sold).
@NEStalgia No loss there. The box art for Three Houses is pretty bad, which is why I didn't mind canceling my physical preorder. I'll just get it as one of my voucher games. Since it'll be preloaded, I'll have access to it sooner as well!

Silk Song and Solar Ash Kingdom are two that are missing, that spring to mind. Can't wait for both of those. Solar Ash Kingdom hasn't been confirmed for switch yet, but Heart Machine brought Hyper Light Drifter to switch with exclusive added content, so surely it's a safe bet that it's coming.
Yeah I'm not sure Doom Eternal is launching day and date with the other versions.
Nintendo's tweet during Bethesda's conference doesn't mention the release date, their software lineup sizzle reel listed it as "coming soon", and that infographic doesn't even list the game.
Pretty sure Doug Bowser confirmed twice during the Nintendo Podcast that Doom Eternal was launching day and date. At least, that’s what I read. It was also stated earlier they were targeting day and date. So we’ve been told several times, as recently as yesterday or the day before, the game is releasing day and date. I see no reason to believe otherwise.
Also, the official list keeps growing. Every day I remember a few more games that I forgot to add.

Could possibly be a hint for Doomguy in Smash, DQXI S was given vague release windows until DQ Hero was announced for Smash. Or maybe when the E3 Direct was made, Bethesda didn't have a specific release date ready.
