@Grumblevolcano What happened with Pokemon Bank? I wasn't as interested back then in looking into Nintendo news. IIRC all I did was watch Directs and get news that way.

Cyber Sleuth is one of my top wishlist games, totally gonna pick this one up at release. Between this, Survive, and likely the next Story game coming to Switch, it feels like we're back in the DS/Dawn/Dusk era of Nintendo getting the Digimon games.

Most likely physical for Europe, Japan, and China. While North America gets digital only.

@Matthew010 Pokemon Bank launched in Japan on Christmas Day 2013 and it led to serious Nintendo Network issues, such that Bank was removed from the eshop and wasn't re-added until a month later.

That’s ok. An EU release is as good as an NA release in my book. I can import.

That said, my Astral Chain collector edition from Amazon IT just got canceled. A friend ordered an extra on a price mistake for me, and they canceled the extra. I do not want to end up on eBay for Astral Chain and Daemon X Machina. At least I still have the Link’s Awakening from EU, which I wanted for the steel case and more classy art book cover.

Not for Switch though. Less neat. The Arkham games would have no issue.

@Knuckles-Fajita Isn't it essentially a repeat of the Dark Souls situation where no Switch version because the collection on other platforms is just a repackaging of games already on the system?

@Grumblevolcano Only WB games on Switch are LEGO.

It's weird. Wii U got better support from EA, Activision etc early on. Switch gets less from them and more from more out there devs

@Knuckles-Fajita Timing is probably a factor:

Wii U - More powerful than the current gen (PS3/360), released a year before next gen
Switch - Less powerful than the current gen (PS4/XB1), released 3.5 years into current gen

If you look back to Wii U, apart from Ubisoft the support mostly stopped after the next gen launch window (PS4/XB1).

Looking ahead to PS5/Scarlett, the main thing to watch will be Sony's arrogance. I'd imagine their comments from last week already burned some bridges with developers.

@Grumblevolcano Japanese developers in particular. Nintendo already takes publishing costs for a lot of those guys, Square mostly, so seeing these comments must be disheartening.

Nothing screams "They'll do it because PS4 sold" like seeing that same thing happen with PS3. And Wii U.

Honestly I don't see why, with maybe the exception of Arkham Knight, the Arkham games can't be on Switch.

City managed on Wii U, and Asylum...well that can run on anything at this point.

Is there a calendar list anywhere for upcoming releases in the US for switch games both physical and digital?

I hope online Mario Maker 2 gets fixed, the lag is worse than Brawl.

Isn’t lag due to the other players? You really can’t fix someone having crap internet. Although I suppose they could have a system where players report laggy matches, and it wouldn’t take long before an automated system could use statistics to identify which players are a repeated and consistent problem, then segregate them with a message explaining they have a 72 hr “ban” from online, after which they will be given another chance. If they continually have issues they’ll never get more than half a dozen matches before they get another 72 hour, significantly reducing the number of contaminated matches in the pool at any given time.

But across physical and digital? You're better off checking Wikipedia. The Switch eShop has had over thirty games added in a single week here and there. The problem now is separating the good games from the shovelware. And price isn't necessarily the best indicator of quality.

A nice, short review of What Remains of Edith Finch, which I haven’t really heard anyone talking about despite the game winning tons of awards.

@JaxonH Alliance Alive HD releases October 8th for NA, October 11th for EU.

Edit: Layton's Mystery Journey DX is November 8th. There's also Ghostbusters The Video Game Remastered as a TBA 2019 title and SpongeBob Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated as a 2020 title.

I'm going on a trip in a week and I need a powerbank that's 50 or under. Any recommendations?
