This is what sucks the most. Nintendo focused marketing. Nintendo announced it. Loads of focus on it at PAX. We actually could have had a third party game day and date that wasn't an absolute mess for the first time in what may actually be years...

But I guess that's the downside of owning a Nintendo system. You get it late but its worth it.

Well I'm really ticked off because it was literally the first retail Switch game I was picking up this year. Now who knows when Wolfenstein 2 will have a date either. I'm going to start pulling the trigger on a few lesser games that I want soon now because of this.

@YummyHappy Pills. Ive actually heard some people saying the frame rate on DS was still not great at PAX East. I'm wondering if they heard this a lot and decided to keep working on the frame rate a bit longer.

They must have really bad frame rates in order to care, considering that Souls games are known for releasing with mediocre to bad frame rates. Perhaps it’s not a fair comparison, but games like Bloodborne and Dark Souls 3 have their notable issues.

@YummyHappyPills You mean since last August? Sonic Mania was not a mess on Switch.

Actually, neither was Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2, so only since November.

@IceClimbers Major, major core gamer releases, at retail, lets say.

I would count Sonic Mania but that feels...I dunno. Big but not..."Big". If that makes sense.

@YummyHappyPills To be fair ,other than missing a couple of modes FIFA 18 ran perfectly and had a day and date release.

Maybe it was pushed back for Tropical Freeze to have its moment.

In any case, it's not a huge issue. 1 or 2 months maybe.

That really sucks. I was really looking forward to it. But I guess I'll just get it on the PS4 then. I really wanted it on the Switch but I don't plan on waiting just for it. I'll get it later on depending on how soon it's released after next month's versions.

Probably just a coincidence, but I happened to see a certain high ranking Sony rep sitting down to a meeting in a hotel with some Bandai Namco reps a coupla days ago. With a large brief case...

Oh, is now when we start the "Microsoft and Sony paid them to delay it on Switch" nonsense? So soon?

I’m not to surprised about the Dark Souls delay. We have seen nothing about the network test, so I figured something was up. That doesn’t mean I like it, that’s going to hurt the sales of the sales of Switch version. And more importantly the Amibo was also delayed 😢

@TheTetrisGuy Given ARMS Global Testpunch was only a few weeks before launch I was thinking the network test would've been announced in late April with it happening early May. The delay makes me think the network test won't be until after E3 at the earliest.

@Grumblevolcano It all depends on how far back it’s being pushed, Im going to guess, with no evidence, that the game comes out late July, so I could the see the Network Test happening late June or early July.
That actually reminds me, we should be getting that Mario Tennis Aces pre launch tournament around June... neat.

Edit: Something I just realized... this game was at Pax, and it looked great! That sort of makes me wonder what they were hiding...

I doubt it's cause for a lot of worry.

I've only got 41.2GB left on my Micro SD. Guess I'll need to upgrade soon.

Well it sucks hearing Dark Souls is pushed back.

But I see no urgent need to rush out and buy some other version. The game has existed for 10 years. If I was that desperate to play a non-hybrid version I'd already be playing it, since I already own it. Only reason I wanted to buy it was cause it was cause it was on Switch.

So I'll get it whenever it drops. Guess I can pull Hyrule Warriors and Blazblue and MegaMan and Street Fighter out of the planned backlog pile and follow up DKC with those instead, until Mario Tennis Aces kicks off the summer.

Definitely sucks but yeah I am still sticking with switch version over PS4. I need dark souls on the go.

So Shinya Takahashi might have teased a return of Wave Race.
