My guess is that Nintendo have some constraints on how games have been marketed before appearing in directs. Something like the game can be shown as the big game if it hasn't been revealed or they don't charge money for showing it.
Directs are the best way to connect with Nintendo fans. It generates an incredible buzz around a game, it is probably strengthen if the game hasn't been officially revealed before. So Activision might have left out Switch on purpose.
Or Ms and Sony have some sort of compromising photos on Activision-Blizzards CEO. In fact, this is the most probable.
@IceClimbers Yep Rocket League looks amazing now. The difference in handheld mode from before is night and day. Docked mode now looks pretty close to the PS4 version and that's just in performance mode.
@Kova After the latest update, the Switch version is looking a lot sharper now (even in 60fps 'performance' mode) - it's certainly, to my eyes, far closer to the PS4 version than it was - perhaps not quite 'on par', but the gap has closed to a point where the differences are barely perceptible (unless comparing side-by-side) ..an impressive conversion just got all-the-more impressive - Panic Button have done wonders!
3rd parties have mastered the art of the conniving man. The double dipperoo tactic.
Aaaaand here's our next game! No. No Switch version. No comment. No. No. No no no no. The answer is no. No comment, no Switch.... NO. Please buy on PS4/X1. It's clearly the only way you will ever enjoy this great game we've made.
[you proceed to purchase game at launch]
Well HEEYYY NOW! Whattaya know, didn't realize but... huh, looks like we have a Switch version in our back pocket we forgot to tell you about. Oh... you already bought the game? We're really sorry about that. Truly. Tell ya what, we're just gonna leave this pre-order link here, in case you decide to buy the version you really wanted.
Heh heh heh heh heh...
Almost every single 3rd party game on Switch was announced and brought after the other versions, precisely at the exact time demand started drying up on those platforms. Once they milked every dollar they could. But I'm not budging anymore... not one single inch. No Switch, no buy. Not until I've waited several years to make absolutely sure I'm not being taken for a ride.
Yeah that's why I'm holding off on non exclusives now. I don't trade games but I've have to off load several current gen since switch versions have come out. At this point I can wait a few years to know for certain a switch version isn't coming out.

@Ralizah Well I would be happy with either as the last game (the only game) I played was Fallout 3. I need a Bioshock collection as well and I would be all set with my wants as far as 3rd party ports.

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.
I'm considering holding off on Shadow of the Tomb Raider now, can't even be sure that's not being held off for a special announcement in a Direct or E3 in the form of some sort of trilogy pack.
@Spoony_Tech I played Fallout 4 on PC and... wasn't happy. It's barely improved from FO3 in some ways, and is actively worse in others. Both of those games had mediocre writing, because that's not Bethesda's forte. New Vegas was developed by Obsidian, and it shows, because it's a much more interesting game on both a role-playing and writing level. Also, Switch could probably run it well, whereas Fallout 4 is so poorly optimized that it even drops frames on really powerful rigs.
I'd love some last gen collections as well, though. Especially Rockstar games. Imagine GTA V or Red Dead Redemption on a portable device!
While The Banner Saga is certainly not my thing (TRPG still not my favorite genre), if anyone's looking for a good TRPG, I think Banner Saga is a good one to look for, and this is a switch footage ^^
I mostly just want Dragon Ball FighterZ. Gimme that and UMvC3 and I'm good.
Anyways, a couple pages ago the idea of another Direct Mini being dropped on us came up. I could see one happening, though I feel it would happen closer to E3 and mostly go over July/August/September stuff.
Couple new third party ports (Ace Attorney Trilogy would not surprise me in the slightest)
Nothing ground breaking, but it would clear the decks of the smaller announcements so E3 can focus on the bigger stuff coming in September/October/November/December/2019.
I'm getting the SNK collection for sure. I haven't actually played any of the games included before but I'm really enjoying the games they have on eShop. I know half of them by name and I remember seeing Athena on Games Done Quick. The NES version they were playing was barely functional if I recall correctly.
Wolfenstein 2 is looking immaculate. Dark Souls Remastered is in peak form. SNK Heroines is a for sure purchase...
Good to see a string of high quality games on the way. Above all though I'm impressed with Wolfenstein 2. It looks way better than it ever had the right to look on Switch. I don't know how they did it but gosh dang
