@WebHead Well, I don't know anyone with a Dev kit, which makes me worried. 7 months to make a game for a new handheld with more power than the Wii U??? We will see about that.
That is the main reason why I will be surprised, but they very well could surprise me lol
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...
@BiasedSonyFan
There were only two points you vocally disagreed with that I made. The first was me saying that Nintendo is splitting their audience with the 3DS and Wii U. Which is just a fact. One that you tried to counter by arguing that the Wii U somehow only lost the Wii audience. Gamers who all just vanished as the gaming market shrunk this generation across all platforms.
The second point you disagreed with was when I said that the NX doesn't need all of those big multi-platform third party releases to win over the "hardcore". Because the 3DS did fine with pretty much none of them. And the NX as rumoured will behave more like the 3DS than the Wii U on store shelves. It's a unique product on the market and so dedicated gamers are likely to buy into it.
So I'm glad I've made you concede at least one of those points.
@DefHalan, I wouldn't worry about NintendoLife if I were you.
I don't know how often you visited PureXbox, but the place was (unfortunately) a ghost town. On the front page, it was article after article with absolutely 0 comments, with the occasional high profile article garnering 3-5 comments. The forums weren't much more active, either. I can't say much about the Xbox One thread, but the 360 thread was entirely dormant for over a year before I created a new thread when I started building a 360 library, and even their General Discussion thread would often go an entire week before someone would comment on one of the topics within.
Compare to Nintendo Life, who usually get a couple dozen comments on average for any given article, with usually at least 3 a week easily breaking the 100 comment barrier (often times going even higher). On the forum side of things, it's rare for the Wii U, 3DS, NX, or General Discussion threads to go more than a few hours without a comment, and even the Wii thread (as a slower one) gets a comment once every few weeks or so (and the Wii fell out of relevance before the 360, which again, had a thread that had been dormant for a year before I revived it).

Speaking of news, the 3DS took top hardware spot in the July NPD. Xbox One was second, so they spin it as "best selling console in July".
That Pokemon GO effect. Both 3DS hardware and software did very well. To see the further effect, look up the prices for HeartGold/SoulSilver on the second hand market. Most are going for over $200.
At the same time, assuming NX is a hybrid, why would Nintendo not market it to console and handheld gamers? Splitting their own audience and franchises would be horribly outdated this next generation.

What have I missed!? I came on here after a couple of days to find everyone talking about Nintendo Life struggling and possibly going under? Is this speculation because I hope so, it would be very scary to know such a site may go.

@Grumblevolcano Ah. Well from what I remember about Pure Xbox, there was rarely ever any comments on that site so I always assumed it was never that popular. Obviously that doesn't mean people never used it but how many people comment on articles is a good indication on how much use the site does get.

@DefHalan Nintendo did officially tweet that the NX was coming out in March the same day they told investors the first time, so yeah I think Nintendo are pretty certain they will be hitting that mark. Or certainly were at the time. I am a bit worried that they seem to be unsure of whether or not they want to reveal the thing as they are so quiet.

So Nvidia has announced that licensing for their chips is down to the lowest since Q3 2015, and they aren't using Tegra for gaming, or their now cancelled Shield 2. There is absolutely nothing to suggest gaming with their SoCs.
So....that NX from Eurogamer huh? I recall the 3DS did this too.

@BLPs Source? I just googled it and I can't find it myself.
I already said that I didn't believe the Eurogamer rumours to be true, and yes I do recall Eurogamer being wrong about the 3DS too. They were adamant that it was going to use one of nVidia's chips.
It's funny how everyone seemed to be backing Eurogamer, would be a good laugh if it all turned out to be false. Digitimes backed their claims and even NintendoLife with their own ''research'' confirmed the Eurogamer rumours. If this is indeed true, we're all back to square one. Can't wait for the next leak then. At this point it's all bogus until Nintendo says otherwise.
