Wtf XC2 lower than 1-2 Switch... :') I'm glad that XC2 is at least 1milllion since that means more installments in the future, but man... that 1-2 Switch. Glares
@darkfenrir 1 2 Switch is kinda really bad sales wise, so for a niche game like Xenoblade Chronicles 2 to do that well is pretty damn good. I just wonder if Nintendo looks at 1 2 Switch as a leasson in not what people want from the Switch.

@FragRed True, considering that at SEA it was so terrible with the forced bundle of Switch + 1-2 Switch + Zelda BOTW at that time...
That might be one of the reason it got such massive sales :v
I'm glade for XC2 though, since this means more installments! I hope the next one will be even better, or at least comparable. (Still need to finish it...)
@darkfenrir I don't know if the developer have 2 teams, but I think their next game is a whole new IP though I assume it will be the same genre of game.

@FragRed Hmmm, well that's still not bad even if it's different IP. As long as it's interesting I'll at minimum gave it a look. I enjoyed the XC2 immensely and as long as the genre interest me, why not!
Do you have the source of this new IP though? kind of curious
@Octane That makes sense as they started hiring for this new IP well before Xenoblade 2 was even released which suggests it must have been in active planning stages for a while. Now they are fully in development stage.

Though they could make it that only paid online subscribers can buy VC games or VC being its own paid subscription where you can't buy games separately but rather own all games in the collection until your subscription expires.
It's been said multiple times by multiple people but I still don't get how it makes sense. A subscription of some kind where handing out some classic games are part of the package? Sure, that makes sense. But I don't see why they wouldn't also make it so someone who isn't a subscriber can't again pay $10 to download Super Mario World for the 10th time.
People keep pointing to streaming models as if they exists purely as a streaming model. But the thing they forget is that these models for movies, music and TV still give you the option to purchase the content directly and individually outside of the subscription. Whether it's via the same service or through some other means.

Good news!!! So anyone whos been following Octopath like me knows the original release date was Spring 2018, and then sadly changed to just 2018... well now they released a preview to the soundtrack on itunes https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/octopath-traveler-original-...
I didnt think much of it when they released the developer video the other day... but with the release of the soundtrack I feel like this game is just around the corner now!!
For the subcription service to be a success the most important thing is numbers. People aren't going to be happy paying for online if the online population takes a massive nosedive. Mario Kart's online is so good because you know they'll be people playing it online for the life of the service, but if the number of players dives because people are slow to take up the subscription, then the service earns a bad rep early on and makes it even harder to build it up.
So they need something to entice people in. Free VC would do that.
You guys had me at blood and semen.
What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?
@gcunit Welcome to the downwards spiral that is PS+.
1. Nintendo starts offering free NES games as part of their online subscription.
2. Nintendo runs out of meaningful NES games and starts giving away SNES games.
3. People start complaining about the lack of good ''free'' games.
4. Nintendo bumps up the price and starts giving away N64 games.
5. Nintendo runs out of good N64 games and gives away shovelware.
6. People complain and want higher quality games for their money, and demand GameCube games.
7. Nintendo bumps up the price and starts giving away GameCube games...
And in the end everyone pays $60 a year, if not more, to keep this weird ''free'' games system up and running while feeling worthwhile at the same time. And everyone who wants to play a quick Splatoon match here and there is now forced to pay for old games they already own, or don't even want.
