@Dogorilla I think that this really is the Direct. They give us some teasers now and then announce one big thing with dates. Riot Games also added a character on fire now. I really like this!

@Dogorilla I can see Sonic doing it because Sonic's PR is a giant troll operation (it's more entertaining than the last 3 sonic games. Bada boom.)

Doom....well the character on fire may be a mere coincidence, that's sort of their thing.

@Snadertjuh this is the first time I can think of that Nintendo has actually caught the attention of the entire troll base of the gaming industry on the internet. If Sony joins in I'll know it's just a gag. Maybe they're all at CES this week conspiring?

This game looks fantastic, I was planning to get it on Steam at some point but I'll wait for the Switch version now

@AlternateButtons I think we all are just being a bit hesitant it could be just a troll job but yeah weird to have this many companies in on it

@AlternateButtons Could be just them playing along. I've seen the Sonic the Hedgehog Twitter post weirder things than this. I think their PR teams are just having a bit of fun.

The 2 images could be hinting at new games. The first is obviously Chibi-Robo. The second is a costume from Tomodachi Life.

Geez, I don't I've ever seen Nintendo troll this much. I just want a Direct already, but I have to say that I doubt there will be a Direct soon. I think it will be towards the end of January or even in early February if anything.

John Cena apparently has HUGE news tomorrow, what are the chances..............

@Nintendoforlife I'd be surprised if that actually had anything to do with Nintendo at all. Most of the replies are about a Direct anyways lol

I'm willing to lay down some pesos that the Direct (if it happens) will be underwhelming. People seem to be getting too excited.

Yeah there's a 99% chance it has zero to with it haha, but he did do some Switch promotional work early last year you never know

@-Green- I 100% agree with you. All of the recent Nintendo Directs have been boring, with little if ANY actual new major game announcements.

The only thing about the timing of this is that it would correspond with the Switch presentation from last year which was full of exciting announcements. However, we should all take note that likely could have been because it was the reveal of the system and they had to have some exciting announcements to back it up. This time the system is already out and has been a success for them.
