Both Outlast games being announced for Switch is great news. Not long to wait for them either. Can't wait. Hopefully Evil Within 1 & 2 will be announced by Bethesda soon.
@Ralizah
The new Tomb Raider games could definitely run on Switch. Technically speaking (literally - ha!), the PC recommended specs for Rise of the Tomb Raider are actually lower than 2016 DOOM. The newest Tomb Raider game will most likely be slightly more demanding than DOOM. Logically, I think it will be quite possible with even the newest game to get it up and running.
I believe Nintendo needs to make a big impression with the switch at the VGA tonight. The momentum is there and they need to keep it going. A first part title teaser and a third party game confirmed for switch will do the job.
Bayonetta 3 is fantastic news. I may just double dip on 2 as well. Saying that, I've still never got round to playing the original even though I've had it since the day I bought my Wii U. If they come packed together for a decent price I'll buy both. I expect we'll be waiting until 2019 part 3. One thing that's clear now, Bayonetta now belongs on Nintendo consoles for good.
After reading some of the predictions for 2018 on here I couldn't help but feel underwhelmed. Most were very unambitious, especially for the first 6 months of the year. After the last few years that's understandable but things are different now. 2017 was spectacular and hugely successful for Nintendo and I'm confident 2018 is going to at least match it. There might not be 2 games as big as BOTW and Odyssey but there's several huge announcements to come that's for sure. It's the 2nd year of a hugely successful console, no way are Nintendo just going to sit back and rest on their laurels. They don't have 2 consoles to support anymore, a big game nearly every month is how it's going to be for the next year or two at least.
I think if they just announced and showed whatever Retro was doing it would've put them over the top. Great but could've really blown the top off. Even 10 seconds of Prime 4 would've been great!

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.
@Spoony_Tech i think they are saving metroid for E3.. the direct to lead off 2018 will surely have some big announcements for the year, but they will definitely save the biggest news for E3.
@iKhan Don't rule it out just yet. An announcement like that would be saved for a Direct. Not saying it's going to happen but you never know.
Unless link is playable I don't see it happening
Just think it's more down to getting the game running on switch. Tekken is only 720p on xbox one. That should tell us what kind of sacrifices need to be made for a switch version.
I still don't agree with an early access game being nominated for Game of the Year - sets a bad precedent - but at least a properly 'polished' game actually came away with the main award (..and Breath of the Wild was also my personal favourite - so I'm doubly pleased!)
Great news about the Bayonetta reveals too! I suspected that we may get 1 & 2 ported over when Platinum put out the below tease on Twitter a few months ago - but a Switch-exclusive 3rd instalment is a happy and welcome surpirse!
...and, naturally, as soon as the TGA's are all done and dusted, we all begin to turn our attentions to the next Direct! This year? or early next year? ..I'm gonna guess the latter - but I'd love to be wrong!
