...Did-....did they stop doing digital eshop cards for that region? :/
WTF? T.T
All I can find are the old eshop cards. (for Wii/Wii U/etc)

Keep it PG-13-ish.
You can download your games across multiple systems. Assuming you formatted the Switches you sold, I would think that would deactivate their licenses. Then you could just sign in on a new Switch and download them.
EDIT: If formatting didn't deactivate the licenses, then there should be another way.
That will be great if I can download my games again. Hopefully when I buy my new Switch it will show my digital purchases and allow me to download them.
@Grumblevolcano They're not exactly Switch branded, but they were Switch and 3DS. The digital ones were removed from Amazon Japan for whatever reason. (our region still has them, though)
I pulled them via my past orders, yeah, every single one of them are listed as unavailable. :/ https://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/product/B0116SR6MY/ref=oh_aui_d_d...
As for the Nintendo box argument, it's been so long since they've tried, I daresay it's hard to tell if it'll sell. The PS4/Xbox One sell off killer games that look (and arguably) run well, so why wouldn't that work for Nintendo coupled with their exclusives line-up of IP? I'll admit that over-saturation would be a concern though, but at this rate I'd see Microsoft be bumped out of such a racer sooner than Nintendo.
You touched on saturation and then dismissed it but that's the point. The market is full. And Nintendo don't have the strength to break that.
A Nintendo home system wouldn't have all their IP. If Nintendo were to only put out one system it would be a handheld because they sell more. History has proved they struggle to support two systems (as do Sony, and MS aren't daft enough to even try). So why would they continue to try and do that?
Even if theoretically they came out with a home System that launched at the same time as Sony and MS and matched them for spec/ease of development/Online systems/business arrangements for third-parties etc. the only thing setting them apart would be at best, half their IP because the rest would be on a handheld. That's no way to take on well-established and powerful competition. In fact it's commercial suicide.
You must have lost a load of weight this weekend with the amount of crap that's come out of your mouth. You really have wrote so much nonsense. Something something endless petulant tantrum about FIFA 18 on Switch.
@JaxonH People have their own way of viewing such things. Just like you call those people fanatics, I "could" call the people with loyalty to their console fanatics, it's a matter of perspective. But I'll keep it to this, since this isn't a very productive discussion.
I understand your point of 1 single person is irrelevant, but I've seen others look at it differently, constantly send messages and comments in regards to, in this case, Fire Emblem: Warriors not having a wide-spread roster. This person believes that enough outcry will cause a company to shift tune. What I mean to say by this, is that people take their own approach/way of looking at things in regards to situations like these. (Trust me, I've tried to explain this person that his efforts are futile, but he believes otherwise)
I just want Capcom to not leave the Western Nintendo console owners hanging, because not everyone has a console that will play MH:W.
You can tell that Koei Tecmo has done a very good job with the roster they've created though I think the lack of representation from older games may actually partially be Nintendo's fault. Sure Awakening and Fates getting lots of representation will have been partially due to how well they did but Nintendo hasn't exactly made the older games much easier to get either outside of Shadow Dragon which is also represented. If you have a Wii U you can get some via VC and Sacred Stones was a 3DS Ambassador program game (buy the 3DS before the large 2011 price cut) but that's about it. There is no way to get the Tellius games and some others without paying large amounts of money per game to sellers.
Nintendo can fix this by bringing VC to Switch and delve deeper (e.g. GC games), whether it'll happen or not is a completely different story especially with the existence of the Classic Mini range.
With the devs saying about the GBA games being next if FE Warriors has a future beyond the already confirmed content. I wouldn't be surprised if they're playing through the GBA games on Wii U VC to be able to represent characters from those games well.
@electrolite77 That said, Microsoft has a interesting thing going on by having their games go Windows 10 as well. As per your points, why not go full handheld then? It'll help avoid comparison and ensures that they'll be sitting pretty with barely any competition. They'll be able to lower the price of the Switch due to not needing to include a dock or anything, just a cable for charging and ensure that it'll probably even outsell the 3DS, provided they get enough backing.
@Grumblevolcano You know, I've argued many of those self-same points myself, but some people don't care to listen. As for the older characters, I've no trouble with any of them, in fact, them being in this game has gotten me curious, but I've also been annoyed to no end, having tried to talk sense into a hardcore old-FE fan that is more stubborn than a boar.

They would go handheld-only before going home Console only. Handhelds are their bread and butter, they always outsell their home Consoles. But why go handheld-only when you can have a handheld that also doubles as a home Console?
The money saved by going handheld only would be negligible at best. So the system costs $250 instead of $300, yet just lost half the customers who were attracted to it due to its hybrid nature.
They gain absolutely nothing by doing this. And lose alot.
Why not just accept this was the best move, instead of constantly throwing "what if they did this, why didn't they do thats" at the wall seeing what sticks
Psalms 22:16 (1,000 yrs before Christ)

Zachariah 12:10 (500 yrs before Christ)
They will look on Me whom they pierced
@electrolite77 I've mentioned you the reasons why. They can make it cheaper, and thus more readily accessible for people, they'll avoid comparison with the PS4/Xbox One which they love to do and they'll have no competition whatsoever. Seems like the ideal situation from a business standpoint.
@JaxonH But that's but your speculation, or do you have any facts to back that up? People buy the Switch for console quality stuff on the go, you can still offer the console quality stuff on a pure handheld, just sayin.
@Grumblevolcano You've no idea... I've been debating the roster against someone over on NintendoEverything who wouldn't back down about it for too long as is. I'm damn glad that's but a small part of the old fanbase....
So. The vast majority of users bought it for its hybrid gameplay. Fact. See above. Switch is selling far better than both their last pure handheld and last pure console. Fact.
Now, the question is do you have any evidence to suggest otherwise? I think not, because it would fly in the face or what we see. Besides, the Switch is flying off shelves, Nintendo's fastest selling console next to the Wii and DS... And you're questioning the approach?

I don't know about it doing them much harm but I'm not sure it'll have much impact. Depends why they're doing it. Personally I think it's just to reinforce that they're staying in the business and to aid the brand image by once again having the most powerful system on the market. It'll also low their Devs to get used to 4K rather than having to make a big leap next gen. Can't see it actually selling many though!
