Anyone else having this amazing problem with their Nintendo Switch? I undock it in Sleep mode and the screen is just blank. I can access the quick menu and say back to Sleep, but it doesn't work, then I lose access to the quick menu. So I bring up the main power menu, say Sleep Mode or Restart, nothing happen (And upon saying sleep mode is just freezes).
You have to hold Power for 12 seconds and force a shutdown. Just another problem for this system. And it keeps happening too.

@Octane
World wide on the Switch? It would definitely sell a million quickly, and then, over time - I do think it could outsell what it did on the PS4.
Sony has seriously curtailed their platformer presence over the last decade. They used to have AMAZING platformers just like Nintendo: Jack and Daxter, Crash, Spyro, Ratchet and Clank, Sly Cooper, etc. But they've pretty much let all of those franchises turn to dust and have just been releasing remastered trilogies of them; nothing much actually new except for Ratchet and Clank (which did ok, but didn't really create headlines; it made a small splash at first, but seemed to sputter out after its first million. It barely passed 2 mil, and I don't think it'll ever do 3; compare that to Nintendo platformers where anything under 3 million would be considered REALLY disappointing. Even NSMBU sold like 6 million as did Super Mario 3D World, a platformer on a "dead" console even when it came out).
I just think the platformer market isn't on Sony machines anymore - they're still on Nintendo machines. Crash Remastered sold well, but they did an amazing marketing campaign for it, and everyone knows that name. So yea, it did well but I don't think it'll have legs on that console, and I think it would really STICK on the Switch.
Nintendo has flourished over the years without developing games that are overly dark and gruesome. The family-friendliness of their first-party content is a part of their identity, and one that shouldn't be lost in a world that becomes increasingly infatuated with hatred, ugliness, and violence.
With that said, they should absolutely welcome adult third party content on their system, and I'm happy to see them doing just that, as it diversifies the system's library and brings more people back into the Nintendo fold.
@rallydefault Eh, we'll see. I just think you're overestimating Crash. Remember games like Okami or Zack & Wiki? Those were a perfect fit for Nintendo consoles too, but didn't manage to sell a million. So I don't think it's a given Crash will do better on Switch, especially since its biggest audience is in Europe.
Ya I'm glad to see Nintendo getting a wider array of games. They needed it. The little kids playing games with a leave it to beaver family isn't reality. And certainly not some majority they should be targeting.
Switch has done it right. All different kinds of games, all different ways to play. Pick and choose what suits you and play in the manner which suits you.

I bought the game back on Vita, and I remember enjoying it. But the game is so much better this time around (or maybe I'm just better at recognizing great schmup games now), and it looks so awesome in the cinematic wide screen mode- I can play a lot better that way because I can see more of the screen left to right. It's not a very long game- I think there's only 7 chapters, and I beat the first 3 in about an hour? But as you play you unlock the boss fights in a separate mode where you can challenge them one on one, and you unlock the stages in an arcade mode and you unlock the content in a challenge mode. Plus there's two player co-op! You can set up in table top mode and pass a joy con and play with someone else through the game. How cool is that! There's also a versus mode but it doesn't seem that great. Maybe a good 15 minute time waster after playing some co-op to round things out.
I heartily recommend this game... and I never use the word "heartily". But I'm using it now. That should tell you something 😉
@BLP_Software your opinion on the switch is like you're trying to decide you buy one but you already did... either you like it or you don't stop complaining about the power.. I'm a pc gamer, haven't bought a console since ps2 because of "power"
... the switch is going to have amazing games and is beyond impressive for it's size.. i bought it to play docked and do you hear me crying about graphics? If i want graphics ill play pc... the switch has awesome graphics but this thing is about the GAMES... the switch is huge in Japan and will have amazing jrpgs ..... stop crying.
Moonlighter - Nintendo Switch Announcement Trailer
Moonlighter is an Action RPG with rogue-lite elements that demonstrates two sides of the coin – revealing everyday routines of Will, an adventurous shopkeeper that secretly dreams of becoming a hero.
Moonlighter is developed by Digital Sun Games and published by 11 bit studios.
Nintendo UK put out a trailer earlier for Vostok Inc. It doesn't show anything new that wasn't already revealed here. I thought the 80's cheesy trailer was good.
@Inertiacreep I dont insult you for your opinion do I?
It will have great games. I do enjoy the Switch. But as it stands my opinion is conglicted because a lot of the wow and enjoyment for me came from concept not the actual games. If I take a fair amount of the games just as the software they isolated from the portable bubble, its...there. its ok.
And I dont care about graphics. But some people do. Those considerations are for this thing called "Other peoples needs". But sadly, as a system right now Im not getting the full experience.
