I think we will see lots of games being played competitively that we wouldn't expect to be played in such a way tomorrow, as well as some competitive games being played.

See, realistic expectations.

@BLP_Software I mean, new content for their big competitive games isn't entirely unrealistic. Not like I'm expecting Smash or something

@IceClimbers Well ARMS has seemingly been written off by most people, so it would have to be either VERY substantial or we can expect just a few smaller things for diehards, and Splatoon 2 has been labelled a slow turn around given how "Apparently" slowly new stages have arrived and how the weapon variety isn't great.

I dunno. I'm not expecting anything, you know? It'll just be a few hours of mindless fun.

Splatoon has sort of gone through all the featured stages at this point, so I would t be surprised if they start teasing new ones.

Splatoon does have a lot of variety though. The only thing is the 'meta' is sort of centralized along Baller, Stingray (Sloshing Machine) and Shooters.

@BLP_Software Well if we look at 2015 NWC on the new and recent front back then, we ended up with:

Pre-show

• Yoshi's Woolly World (new level debut)
• Earthbound Beginnings for Wii U VC

Main event

• Splatoon (game was only a few weeks old)
• Metroid Prime Blast Ball (new reveal)
• MK8 (Tracks were picked from the April DLC)
• Smash Wii U (Shows off the DLC announced and released earlier in the day)
• Super Mario Maker (Shows off how crazy levels could get in their big 2nd half of 2015 game)

So really NWC was a fun way of promoting Wii U and 3DS (the retro games were all on Wii U VC) back then and it'll probably be Switch, 3DS and NES/SNES Classic Mini this time.

@-Green- @Grumblevolcano I'm going to say I expect the next general wave of Splatoon 2 content to be detailed, since all that is out now from the last one, and maybe ARMS V.4.

NBA 2k18 has been patched.

The save corruption from playing offline has reportedly been fixed. Cut scenes are reportedly running flawlessly. Long list of smaller bugs fixed in the patch notes. And I just cancelled the Legend Gold Edition in favor of the regular plain jane $35 BestBuy purchase. Looks like I'm canceling and re-ordering, now that I know it's fixed.

Man, I don't know who you are ordering from but I'd find a new supplier given all the issues you've had. Amazon or bust (for me, BestBuy). The amFilm tempered glass screen protectors should work. Your screen would have to be curved in order for them not to work right. But here's a good case. Talk to Jax before you buy any more accessories and I can give you the rundown.

Butterfox Switch Case. Has indentations for joycons so the system lays flat, and has full zipper pouch which can hold a portable battery, wall charger, USB-C cable, portable tripod for charging in tabletop, earbuds, and an amiibo coin if desired. The handle is crucial for portability. You'll find out soon enough how hard it is to carry a cup of coffee, a package and a Switch in a case without a handle, and get your keys out all at the same time.

Was just flicking through the WB games site, and came onto the LEGO Ninjago Movie game page.

This was a telling sign:

I actually think that's good placement. It was the first one I saw. Plus, it's on the top row. So, I'd say most people would see them left to right

@Operative2-0 @KirbyTheVampire I think my biggest issue is that yes, it could be the first one you see, but its also....not spaced in a way that works. Like if they all had equal spacing and Switch was furthest left? Sure thing, that's cool. But here its...dunno. Like its bungled in.

PC and PS4 are more clearly presented, so I guess the effect of what you see first works both ways.

And looking back at it, I realise its a weird visual trick. Its two rows, 3 icons per, but the second row is so high up its pushed the Xbox logo almost into the Switch one, which makes the Switch one look out of line and the two collectively look like they've just been dumped to one side.

Since file sizes have become a topic of discussion when it comes to Switch, guess how much space Shadow of War takes up on PC?

@JaxonH Hah, I order them from all over the place. The screen protector was from Amazon UK, it was the second best thing, since they don't ship the amFilm screens to my country (I did my research!). The carrying case is the official one from Nintendo, I figured it had to be a quality case. And I think it is, it's pretty sturdy, I was just a bit puzzled as to why there's no support underneath the system.

Speaking of the file size, Take Two has released a patch for NBA 2K18 for the Switch. Full patch note here:

– Fixed a case where game framerate would drop for the remainder of the game following a called timeout.
– Users are now able to view the individual attributes and their values when upgrading their players in MyCAREER.
– Gray indicators have been added underneath the feet of your teammates in the Playground; it is now much quicker and easier to discern your teammates from your opponents.
– Global settings/options will no longer reset to default after entering a MyTEAM game.
– Users will no longer lose their facial hair when re-scanning their face.
– Addressed a case where Draft-and-Stash players in MyLEAGUE/MyGM would be signed to a $0 contract, while simultaneously being duplicated in the upcoming rookie draft (new save required).
– Generated prospects in future seasons of MyLEAGUE/MyGM will now always have heights appropriate for their position (new save required).
– Free agents 32 years or older will no longer pass up big money offers to sign for the MLE in MyGM/MyLEAGUE.
– Users will no longer display negative badge progress following an exceptional performance in MyCAREER. For those currently experiencing this, continue playing and your tally will be incremented towards your next bonus.
– Fixed a hang that could occur when the user was scrolling down the list of available shirts in the T-Shirt Kiosk.
– Improved framerate in the court area of the Playground when games are being played on most/all of the courts.
– Addressed a hang that could occur when bringing up the squad menu in a completely full Neighborhood.
– Fixed a soft hang in Live Practice where the ball would not get picked up when using the ball machine.
– Fixed an issue where the camera would always point to the middle of the court if the user had the Auto Flip option enabled while in the broadcast camera(s).
– (Switch) Improved framerate/audio syncing during tunnel/locker room scenes in MyCAREER.
– (Switch) Fixed an issue that sometimes prevented Local Play from commencing when there were four participants.

Also, many report that game file size has been reduced to about 10GB after the game update from 22GB, and the games runs better now.

Can you put the Switch in sleep mode while a game is active?

@Octane. Yep. It resumes exactly where you left off. That's what i do.
