Nonetheless Nintendo will obviously expect us to be content with Brawlout and Pokken for the next 1.5 years or so until they announce Smash is in development and release it in 2019 after many delays. Sigh

@NintendoPete It's not like it would cut into Smash's sales anyway.

@Octane Yeah, with all of the indie games that are transitioning over the Switch, I'm surprised we haven't heard about HLD yet. I'm still interested in playing it!

@NintendoPete Tons of indie games have copied Nintendo's games before. They don't have a problem with it and they won't ever.

@Ralizah It's amazing. One of the better games I've played last year. It's difficult, there's exploration, it looks good, music is amazing (I think it was from the same guy that did the music for Fez). It's like a top-down Metroidvania if that makes any sense.

Does it have a roster full of indie characters like the Hyper Light Drifter or is it all new charactwrs with one guest star?

@rallydefault I bought GEM, played it for an hour or so last night and really enjoy it. I'll get plenty out of this game. Great buy for $9.

Capcom continues to impress with their carelessness, Mega Man 7 in Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 (the game not seeming to be coming to Nintendo platforms) features "Licensed by Nintendo".

@antster1983 Brawlout has came a looong way since I last saw it. Regardless, looks rigid still. Like I don't feel like Brawlout will sate the Smash thirst as much as people want it to.

Seems like the niche "super anime" market is either spilling over on Switch, or jumping ship.

@Paraka Switch is the Vita successor as much as it is the 3DS or Wii U successor honestly

@Grumblevolcano The Switch is proving to be fairly popular, and these collections seem like obvious releases for it. I'm guessing we'll get some $40 package with all the Mega Man Legacy Collection games on one cart (or, knowing Capcom, this exact thing, except it's digital-only).

@IceClimbers Said it before, will say it again: the Switch is what both the Vita and the Wii U should have been. And, with Sony apparently giving up on its portable console line altogether, it'll absorb a large chunk of the Vita's niche.

@Ralizah Yup, and not just for niche Japanese games, but as an excellent indie machine as well.

Anyways, the new ARMS patch is out. I'd link the patch notes but I'm on mobile. Basically just a balancing update.

One of the patch notes is "Trained Barq to get up faster". Love that they worded it that way. Good boy Barq!

Anyways the next patch will have a new fighter and new arms.

Why would an Xbox or Playstation game say licensed by Nintendo?

It amazes me how Capcom can screw up so many things. We get that it's a low effort port, but seriously, the mistake on the RE: R box is pathetic. Did no one check that stuff before sending it in?

So Nintendo sold 122,980 hardware units, Sony sold 57808, MS sold 90. It's not even a fight over in Japan...
