@BLP_Software That's weird, it always pauses when the battery of my controller runs out.
I understand what you're saying about the angle, it's weird, not the angle you expect it to be in. I don't think it affects the cable though. The angle isn't big enough to affect the cable, it's not that much. I checked mine, and the cable bends at an acceptable angle. The biggest issue is the micro-USB port, they are rather flimsy. I'm glad my phone has a USB-C charging port, because I couldn't bear another micro-USB port.
@Octane The angle is strange. I don't quite know why but the shoulder buttons also activate if you don't put the controller down right. But I have unfortunately lost a cable to the DS4 from that angle.
For all the DS4 gets right (Comfort, buttons) there are some...very odd choices, like the quality and position of the port, the touchpad, the light and using YouTube with those damn shoulder buttons XD

Not wanting to open a can of worms here, but with regards to lack of VC at launch, how many people were itching to drop £280 Day 1 on a brand new console so they could play games that came out 10-20 years ago (and have been available on one or several consoles dating back to the Wii)?
I mean, if you've wanted to play Game X, either it's already been made available on the Wii, Wii U or 3DS for a while, or it hasn't, in which case there's no guarantee it would be available on the Switch on launch day.
Some people seem to be blowing a gasket under the article, but I'm finding it hard to imagine someone genuinely thinking, "Pre-order cancelled because I can't play a 10 year old game on Day 1 that I already own on two other consoles".
If there's a significant delay to it, that's bad. If GC games are permanently ruled out, that's bad (as they'd actually provide something over the last generation systems). But my reaction to "no VC on launch day" is, "why would you buy a brand new system on launch day to play old games (that have been available for years to purchase anyway".
Aside from this giving off an air of 'incompleteness' to the launch, am I missing something?
I also expect porting emulations to a new architecture isn't helping, as all emulation is is taking the hardware, and making it behave like the emulated system so the ROM doesn't freak out, at least at a base level.
Who knows, maybe they want to release multiple systems at once as well and are working on getting that set up?

@Maxz as I said earlier, it is about practicality. Now don't get me wrong, it is not a huge deal to me in any way, but I really wish VC would come day one (although I never thought it would). The reason for this is to be able to play classics both at the TV and on the go. As it is now I have to double dip to do that, and I can't just continue from where I left off on the TV when I take my 3DS out and about. That's the reason why I haven't double dipped. I will however gladly repurchase most of my VC library for the Switch so that I can play many of those brilliant games both in my living room and on the go. I'm not really in a rush, but I'm going on two trips in March, and in both cases it would be nice to have some old-school titles on the system. There are also some VC games I never got for the Wii U or 3DS in anticipation for the Switch, so there are old games I haven't played. I generally love Nintendo games, but back in the SNES / GB / N64 days when I started playing I only played Mario, Mario Kart and Pokémon. This lasted until 4-5 years ago when I finally broadened my horizon to include other types of games. So there are a lot of old-school games I never played and that I'd like to be able to take with me on the go and at the same time continue my progress at home.
Why people whine about it is beyond me though, the only information we got today that is something to whine about is the lack of bluetooth headset support and the left joy con issues. One of which will hopefully be fixed with a day 1 patch.
So the reports about joy-con disconnecting is a bit weird.
1: Wireless software does this, especially around interference.
2: Why is reportedly only the left, blue joy-con. Not left grey according to some.
3: Why is this coming from Kotaku and Polygon, and regarding Polygon, its coming from the guy who, I believe, didn't want to review Star Fox Zero because he found it hard.
Something feels suspect there, but it could also be a firmware issue being patched out. But who knows.

Ive looked around and people are allegedly having similar issues. I would put it down to Bluetooth (Dat 10 foot range though).
My main concern is, when this is new coming from the site that cant play DOOM, wont review a game due to its control or has late reviews because its hard...make sure its widespread, and while it seems to be, the cause is likely the fact that's its Bluetooth.
At least it isn't IR. That's not good for a controller.
