@MagicianAustralian boxart from Amazon Australia is the first place I've seen it but also on the European one. Interesting that the NA boxart seemingly doesn't though.
Just pre-order this from Base . It states in the box pic on there about a download being required - might be due to online play maybe?

I was hoping this would be a small file...maybe it won’t be a big download. NFS on switch has a required download but it’s only a gb or two gb, hoping that’s the case here with THPS

That's exactly what I thought when I saw the Yeah Right! video. "Owen Wilson has skills?" Director Spike Jonze though it would be funny to throw Owen Wilson in that skate video (they were friends). For fun, he gave Owen a list of trick names and a script to memorize one day, told him to stop by where they were filming the skate video on the following day. So, yeah, a pro skater stunt doubled for Owen hitting that rail. It's funny
(I think I learned these details from the tv show Epicly Later'd, when they did a bio on Spike Jonze.)

Ohh, is that when embargoes drop? Can't decide between buying this or Mario Golf first!
At the moment I'm leaning towards this as I think the online always has the potential to die off on third party Switch games... Launch period might be it's peak in terms of always finding a game. There's no Crossplay AFAIK.
Got my copy today. There's a 3.5gb download, so not too egregious. I didn't bother to check if it's mandatory for the game to function or not though. I do recall the PS4 version also said that a download was required and that was a blu-ray disc (and wasn't really required for the game to function).
I now feel justified in cancelling my preorder for the physical copy.

@Magician No problem, glad you made the right decision for yourself. It seems like an excellent port, so enjoy the digital version if you decide to pick that up.
@Magician Main thing stopping me from getting it too. Nothing more annoying than when publishers skimp out on the cartridge size to cut costs. Just use a 16GB one and put the whole game on there, charge $10 more if you have to.
Yeah, it's disheartening. I would've gladly paid a "Switch tax" ($50) for a physical copy using a 16GB cartridge with everything on it. But...Activision cheapened out, so here we are. It's frustrating.
