Topic: Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1+2 announced for Switch

If it was a remaster of Underground I'd buy it instantly. Is the soundtrack the same as the orginals? I could see that getting messy with all the licences.

So pumped. I said In the article but this was the reason I bought (or begged my mom) to get me a ps1 back in the day. Simply for THPS1. It was my childhood along with SM64 lol

last time i played a skateboarding game was Tony Hawk Underground 1 for my Gamecube just last year or so. nice decent game even though im not a skateboarder

I'm all about it. Haven't played a Tony Hawk game since THUG. When the series was considered one of the best in gaming. The complete opposite from the series embarrassment that was THPS 5 back in 2015.

It's a shame that this port is probably as good as the series will get for a while, considering Vicarious Visions was reassigned to work on just Blizzard internal stuff going forward. Crash remaster, THPS 1&2 remaster...VV does really good work on their projects.

I really wish they would remaster THPS3 as well. Sadly though I don't see that happening anymore.

Hmm, just realised it launches the same day as Mario Golf. 🤔 Not the smartest move from Activision maybe. I know they're not directly competing and very different games but they'll still be competing for Nintendo fan's budgets/time and it runs risk of getting overshadowed by a big 1st party Mario related release!

@Clyde_Radcliffe Yeah that isn't the best move on their part. It should still sell really well though, and who knows how good Mario Golf will be, I'm getting both though so I can't say much on the matter haha

Oh *****, I didn't know it had online play! Now I'm tempted to buy it first as I think the online could die out quicker than Mario Golf (it doesn't have cross play)

Its kinda odd Tony Hawk 1&2 aren’t in the eshop yet.Its not even in the coming soon section.

Do we know how big the download for the physical version is yet?

I'm curious about this as well. It's a 22GB download on PS4, so I'm hoping Activision will manage to compress everything down to fit on the cartridge with zero post-patching. If the Switch file size is even one mb over 16GB, then I'll know to cancel my preorder for the physical release.

@Magician The boxart days download required so I'm guessing there'll be a pretty hefty download. Just don't know exactly how big.
