I wanted to chime in too. The performance is pretty lackluster, and I'm no performance snob by any stretch of the imagination. I got a piece of flint from a raven and I don't think it was the way i was supposed to. I basically went invisible and teleported to a specific location and all of a sudden, it says I obtained the flint. Lots of frame rate issues, wierd bugs with the bees, or should i say, bugs..( which I got a laugh out of, NGL). Not to mention, it's definitely not as fun as the original game. I'll push through and finish it either way to tide me over til FE Engage.
Yeah, I was going to pick this up but after all the talk of bugs, soft locks, hard locks, etc, I think I'll wait. Hopefully, they can patch it up a bit, might give it a go then.
I can't make heads or tails of this game. I've spent more time talking and exploring/doing puzzles than I have playing any single sport. I'm about 3 or so hours in and I've played 1 round of golf so far. For such a highly anticipated game for me, I have to say, I'm a bit disappointed in the gameplay thus far. It's a hodge podge of gameplay with little to no purpose( my opinion obviously).
Oh Dear, guessing they were pushed through by Nintendo to release this even if a buggy mess, will definitely wait until all the bugs are ironed out and hopefully a physical will have all the fixes included.
@NintendoByNature unfortunately, the hype for Silksong might actually be reaching that tipping point...
Also, I know everyone's talking about the bugs, and rightfully so, but I'm curious about the writing and storytelling. How is that compared to simular indy RPGs?
@ElRoberico I was slightly joking, but with how highly anticipated the game is, I can see some being disappointed for whatever reason.
Honestly the writing for the game isn't anything to write home about. It's ok, and better than some indies, but im mostly in it for the gameplay, and it's lacking in that department. Bugs aside, it's just not as fun as the first game.
@EaglyTheKawaiiShika I'm sure it'll be fine. But the last couple of sequels I was anticipating on the indie front turned out to be busts( sports story, axiom verge 2, and blossom tales 2). I'm sure those are outliers though and silksong will be the gold standard as was HK.
It isn’t Nintendo’s job (or any storefront for that matter) to QA a game beyond making sure it passes a lot check and boot and doesn’t have any obvious malware (against the servers more than the switch itself). The dev should have let their game bake longer.

Got a game breaking bug it appears. While in the fish dungeon, I got to the boss fight, something funky happened where he went under the platform and I couldn't see him. Figured I would save and quit to see if that solved the issue. Unfortunately, it didn't and now anytime I reload the save I'm stuck in the boss room and can't leave, didn't get the key for beating him ( which I didn't obviously but would've still like to move on). Think I was getting close to the end of the game too, so it's a little frustrating. Guess I'll move onto something else.
