@whodatninja The Switch version. Assuming that a good chunk of the 2 million launch day Switch owners are getting Zelda, then yes, the Switch version will easily outsell the Wii U version.
People love to nickname Link with derogatory and 'funny' names. It gives them a good laugh when the characters in game say his name. In some cases people name Link after themselves.
I might have been tempted to call him the Hylian Heat.
Wow, Gamexplain's review (With some gameplay spoilers) wasactually pretty harsh, citing actual criticisms such as inventory management, occasional visual laziness, story issues, bad voice acting, and bland dungeon bosses. At least, it's harsh compared to the perfect 10/10s we've been seeing. It still got a "liked a lot," however, but didn't quite cut it among the ranks of games they "loved." It's actually refreshing to see a reviewer give a review without the rose-tinted glasses (or fear of backlash), though.
Spoiler tags for those wanting to keep those rose-tinted glasses on going into this game.
I've noticed something weird about reviews of Breath of the Wild.
Every time the game is compared to another game, it's always made to another Zelda game. That's useful information, but how does it compare to other games on the market? How does it compare to, let's say, Horizon: Zero Dawn?
"I'll take a potato chip... AND EAT IT!"
Light Yagami, Death Note
"Ah, the Breakfast Club soundtrack! I can't wait 'til I'm old enough to feel ways about stuff!"
Phillip J. Fry, Futurama
I don't know if I missed this before, but did anyone already know what the Smash Link Amiibo does? This is how you get Epona and apparently she's the strongest horse in the game.
If you want to know more, watch this video.
I'm definitely ordering a Smash Link Amiibo now.
I think Skyward Sword will be more appreciated when the inevitable Switch HD remaster happens. Joy-cons instead of Wii Remote Plus and Nunchuk as well as the inclusion of HD rumble would probably turn Skyward Sword into something very special.
@Grumblevolcano I would totally buy that!
I just recently re-played Skyward Sword on the Wii U and I was surprised how bad the graphics look. Why is it so pixelated? Even Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask don't look that pixelated on my Wii U. This was such a beautiful game - IMHO 10x more beautiful and exciting than Twilight Princess - it definitely deserves an HD remake.
My GOTY? Legend Of Zelda: Splat of the child. Ah no, I meant LoZ: Breath of the SPLATOOOON!
@AlexSays Hm, true. But what would we do if Zelda couldn't yell Link a billion times in the game? Anyway, to me Link is pretty much an established character, so there's no reason to rename him. Just link people don't want to give Mario a different name. It's a bit silly to call it a negative, but it also shows that aren't really a lot of proper complaints. So I really hope it does live up to the expectations.
