I have no problem with DLC as long as its not annoying, like how Forza 5 was on Xbox One. Nintendo has a good history with DLC and I thought Mario Kart 8s was well handled. This doesnt look annoying and theres plenty of content in the game already.
@Tsurii I think those are just generalized white people monsters as opposed to an actual confirmed monster in the game, but who knows. We are definitely in need of more mounted enemies, and that would be dope.
@Dev I appreciate that you've come back and aren't going to be able to post in this thread much going into launch (I won't either), but please tag spoilers next time. Especially something with quotes from the actual game, however innocuous they may be.
And guys, I am so excited for the runes we're going to get in this game. I think there is currently a 0% chance that there isn't a blue-glowing Sheikah bombchu in the game. Something like that would work perfectly as a upgrade or alternate mode to the bombs Link gets to start and how they function.
There were centaur-like enemies in both Zelda 1 and ALttP. I think they also showed up in ALBW.
Edit: Yep! They're called "Lynels." They'll probably be on Death Mountain (since that's where they are in every other game. https://zeldawiki.org/Lynel
@dev@SomeBitTripFanI was pretty unimpressed with the idea of Lynels returning when it was brought up before because they're all Zelda 1-looking and gross. However, in the context of horseback combat they sound super exciting to me. I have an excellent mental image of Link slaying the upper half of the lion centaur and it slumping over while the horse half keeps riding like Twilight Princess horseback Ganondorf. Either way, I'm super excited to see all of the enemy variety for the horseback combat!
Just two ideas: Vaulting off of Link's horse just after a guardian shoots a laser past him. The arrow time slow mo of that would look really clutch, provided you don't screw up and get put on blast.
Also, just gliding down from high places alongside eagles sounds really serene. Like Journey or Abzu, it's complicated to choreograph but it doesn't feel like it.
Wow... So this is the first zelda game, or any game as far a I'm aware, with Dutch subtitles! Which for me is SO weird to see I'm so not going to use it though XD
I'm still a little sad that there won't be a Japanese dual audio option for the English release. That would've been so cool to hear. Options are good, Nintendo!
@blaisedinsd I will also get the game on Wii U, depending how much of an improvement it is on Switch. If it's a lot better, I'll wait until I get a Switch.
