We just got an awesome new video to showcase what the next game will be and look like and I can already hear/see the complaints.
I'm afraid the world will be too big.
I hope those textures look better.
The trees are copy paste.
It's nothing I haven't seen before.
Blah blah blah.
Lets wait till the final game before we start throwing it into the Fire. If history goes to show this game won't be legendary till the next Zelda comes out. Here's looking forward to Skyward Sword legendary status next year around this time.
Some people are never happy. Maybe NIntendo should've showed some fake CGI/gameplay trailer like the other companies. But I think the game is looking wonderful at the moment. It's nice to see they have auto-pilot for Epona, and gyro controls to aim the weapons. And that waterfall in the background looks amazing!

Hazelight was the only game shown yesterday with CGI.
Still guys don't get wrong the game is going to be awesome and I keep replaying the video to look at how great it looks, but I do think te footage should judged on fair merits.

The Order is 3 months from release and we've still seen almost no gameplay whatsoever. There was a short demo a while back, that was apparently poorly received.
So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.
I like how he struggles running uphill. I'm sure we will see a bunch of nice touches rarely seen or never seen before. Mind you, I've only been gaming on just Nintendo now for the last 4 years or so.

That's why Wind Waker still impresses me to this day, like how Link's feet would adjust for terrain differences; for example, his feet would never clip through stairs.

The Order seems to be more movie than game. The cutscenes seem to have David Cage style QTEs that lead into the gameplay section.

Well, things are different... I mean, we still don't know whether that Link was LINK, if you know what I mean...
Aounuma confirmed that that was Link a long time ago.
Really? I thought he said that there would be no comments for now about who the hero is....
Anyway, what I'm saying is tat it's a whole different, yet similar world, so the characters too would be different, yet similar...:
The game looks really amazing! I hope it really ends up well....
But quick question here, you think by making this open ended, it would change the formula of the Zelda series? I mean the main thing about zelda is the feeling of getting stuck and not able to figure out what to do next. So you think by making this game an open world like a Link Between Worlds, will the difficulty and the feeling of getting stuck be gone?
Seeing the new footage makes holiday 2015 such a painful wait~ thankfully we got alot of games comming out next year that will make it an easier wait xD~ Hopefully they release direct feed footage of what they shown soon, January direct maybe~? owo
What if ZeldaU takes place in the Hyrule Field in WWHD that was flooded with water? This would make sense for a couple reasons that I've found.
exhibit a: The art style of ZeldaU obviously resembles the fields of Hyrule Field underwater from WWHD. This could be the same world.
WWHD Hyrule Field:
ZeldaU Hyrule Field:
exhibit b: Remember that the reason The 3 Goddesses flooded Hyrule in WWHD was because Hyrule was doomed. Ganon was back, but there was no Link to fight him. Also note that The Playable Character in ZeldaU does not wear the official Green Garb. This could suggest that This character is NOT Link, and could be someone different entirely. That would support the reason why the 3 Goddesses flooded Hyrule, since we aren't Link and we aren't saving Hyrule from Ganon. This could even mean that ZeldaU takes place BEFORE WWHD, before it was flooded.
exhibit c: The items in ZeldaU and combat, from what I've seen, are quite similar to the items in WWHD. The "Sail Cloth" is from Skyward Sword, true, BUT it handles more like the Deku Leaf in WWHD, which could be another tie to WWHD. Also, The Horse Epona moves on its own, similar to how the King of Red Lions moved on his own in WWHD. Finally, the combat even seems similar. In WWHD, there were those cool QTE-type mid battle sequences where you could hop or roll around the enemy and attack from a new angle. ZeldaU has something similar, where you can hop off your horse and shoot an enemy with your bow in Slow-motion. Both of these games have imaginative item uses and combat.
What do you guys think if this? I got a lot of my speculation from watching the Gamexplain discussion, so credit to them. However, it isn't directly what they said, i formulated this speculation while watching the discussion.
i am part of a social group interested in uniting the world by painting it blue.
Blue blue.
Well, it's an interesting theory, but the only point that supports your theory is Exhibit B. The design is only similiar because of the art design of both games, and the items and combat really shouldn't have a bearing on whether two games take place close to each other, since all Zelda games take ideas from each other.
Also, it's already been confirmed by Aonuma himself that the character is Link, so....I'm going to have to throw that theory out the window. Keep coming up with more, though!
Formally called brewsky before becoming the lovable, adorable Yoshi.
Now playing:
Final Fantasy XIV (PC) | The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (Switch) | Celeste (Switch)
My theory is that this is a 3d/HD remake of the original Legend of Zelda for NES. This version has been compared to that one multiple times. Also, Link could wear blue in that one as well.

Again, just a theory....
A wrong one at that. The maps are not the same at all

Nah everythng would be waste land. For the next 3DS game after Majora's Mask I wouldn't mind a remake of Zelda I and II.
