People wanted a female Link, so instead of making two models, they made a male body with a female head.

but Link has always been kind of androgynous... maybe. I've never confused him for a girl though.

Personally, I don't really care how androgynous they make him, I just don't want him to go the opposite way and end up like some buff "western" rpg hero. (-. - )

This sheik will have a definitely female figure, and she breathes through her skin. Which means her costume will be just a face-turban with a two piece bikini.

Literally on the cover of Breath of the Wild: "Sheik's full nudity sex scene will finally settle the debate over her gender."

Game is still rated E10+.
