But, yeah, books: Those are more interesting than grass, right? Right!? Please?

Anyway, the Bomber's Book would be interesting (I never actually use the book in Majora's Mask, but the individual NPC stories were neat). Its glowing appearance screams more 'magical mcguffin' or 'fire spell tone' to me, though. Maybe it has something to do with the main plot or those laser robot tank things?

I'm just hoping it doesn't talk and tell me to get more hearts every 3 mins!

Well, look at it this way - yeah, it's been delayed, but at least we have a "March 2017" instead of a "(who knows when) 2016" date. In a way, it's actually more concrete. That's good, right?

@mjharper: Not necessarily, November 2017 still seems a realistic release window despite the console releasing in March.

@mjharper: It's just '2017', I don't think they said anything about March.

Well by logic it is March+, they said they are gonna release NX and U versions "simultaneously" and the NX is a March release so therefore it must be released after the 1st March but before 31/12/17 so yay, we have a 9 month window.

@Grumblevolcano: It surely isn't 18+ months away. It's been in development for years already and will be in a playable state in a couple of months time. Sure it is what it is being a Zelda game and all but I can't imagine a scenario where it's not complete by this time next year or shortly thereafter.

@TheLastLugia: Federation Force was playable at E3 2015 and doesn't come out until September 2016.

@Grumblevolcano: Good point, but FF is a relatively low-key spin-off that got a ridiculous amount of hate the moment it was shown, so I'd think that it's not as big a priority for Nintendo than what we're lead to believe will be the only major game they have at E3 this year. They won't just sit on this game for months if it's done and I think it will be done in the next 12 months.

@TheLastLugia: But, in theory, it was in a playable state in 2015 when Aonuma and Miyamoto showed it off in that award show presentation, saying it would release in 2015. Maybe I am wrong to expect the game in March...

They are sitting on it for the NX at least already and whilst the Wii U version could be 100% done now they may still be porting it for the NX version with them unwilling to release it on Wii U before the NX in fear of undermining it. I reckon it'll be a NX launch game though.

@mjharper: but then we had the March vid where they all but confirmed that a big part of their development shifted towards NX. If the system takes 2 and a half years or even more after that to release I just won't be able to comprehend it at all. Especially as they had a relatively good amount of work done from 2014 when they showed the overworld at the game awards.

Great, now we wait another year or so...

If this really is another Twilight Princess situation I'm probably just gonna buy the Wii U version and not bother with the NX version.

Wow, I was pretty close on the NX release window, but I was hoping Zelda's Wii U version would release first. I'm a very patient person, but I can't believe we've got to wait this long. It has gotta better be pretty good if they're dedicating all of E3 to it.

Here's my prediction: Zelda U is first futuristic Zelda. Yet sadly, due to delays, by the time it actually gets released, all of the technology in the game will appear old-fashioned.

I reckon the delay is due to them animating every single blade of grass individually after reading this thread.

This is the only playable game that will be at E3 and its not even launching until next year. Haha, Oh god. Oh Nintendo, how far you've fallen in my eyes, so quickly.

Do you guys think they'll release a short demo this year at least or nah?
