Anyone else had their Amazon Wii U version 'delayed' until Monday? (Email sent at 2:09am this morning!)

I'm in the same boat, except my email was sent at 2:06am! Anyone heard why?

Mine ended up getting sent late yesterday and says it's arriving today.

It's dangerous to go alone! Stay at home.

@shani I'm sitting here waiting on my download finishing, it's taking ages. Just waiting on that orange light to turn red. It tricked me earlier though, the light turned red and I thought that was it ready to play, went to download manager only to see it still had over 50% to go. Not long now though I think,1 hours tops.

I like how as soon as you boot up the disc the game starts straightaway. No title screen, no options menu, etc - just a black screen then "Wake up, Link" and you're straight into the action. Nintendo knew we couldn't wait to get stuck in, ha. The lack of hand-holding is refreshing; I spent the first minute just staring out at the land wondering what in the heck I'll find and where to go first.

Does anyone think the bloom lighting is a bit too much? I seem to have this constant (albeit slight) haze over the screen. The GamePad display is a lot clearer so maybe it's my TV (although I've not noticed it with other games). Speaking of the GamePad, it's kind of annoying having a "Tap here to play on the Wii U GamePad only" constantly flashing on the thing. Wish I could turn that off.

The frame rate seems solid enough so far. I've noticed some slight slowdown, mostly while running through wooded areas, but it doesn't occur very often. I'm playing a slow and cautious game so far, exploring everything and being determined not to die (I don't want to see a Game Over screen). Been playing for an hour so far and loving every minute of it.

@Diggler @Hank_Scorpio When did you guys pre-order the game? The Wii U version has been unavailable for pre-order for a while so I'm guessing it's a stock issue and Amazon are delivering via a first-come, first-serve queuing system (I pre-ordered a year ago). Maybe they are waiting on more stock?

Most likely, I pre-ordered in November but have cancelled the order anyway now. Picked it up in Argos for £49, I figured it was worth paying the extra £11 as I had booked today off work.

This gem is the first negative review I found in the page:

I want this game to fail
Because I want Nintendo to fail,

and I can rate it Zero,
without even playing it,
and get away with it.

So here I am, doing my part, giving my zero.

Hey at least I'm honest about it ;^)

I have my Wii U version and preordering at GAME got me a keyring and poster. I'm installing the update and then buying the expansion pack though my Gamepad is running low on charge so I may not be playing the game itself until later.

I have to say after playing several hours non-stop, this is definitely my favourite Zelda game. I've literally only just gotten off the great plateau and yet this game has gotten me so immersed in its gameplay and its world. It's really fun trying to figure out different ways to solves puzzles and it's just fun trying to get to your destination. The level of freedom in the gave is just amazing and I think I now understand why it's called an "Open-Air Adventure" as it isn't purely open by its lack of linearity and it's massively world, but rather the so many unique individual journeys that can be made, and by journeys I mean little adventures such as facing off against a small mob of enemies to scaling a massive cliff. Just heaps of awesome adventures!

@GrizzlyHeart I wish I could help but I don't own a wii u and have no idea what to do. Sorry!

@GrizzlyHeart
Sync the damn thing with the console, press a button and make sure the light on the Pro indicates it is the main control.
If you have problems, the Pro controller came with a guide of how to connect it to the console. It isn't hard at all.

I have a chronic lack of time, for everything.

Wii U is updating. It said 10 minutes, but after 3 minutes it says 14 minutes left.. Poor old thing, it's humming and buzzing and making all sorts of weird noises. Setting the system up made me realise what a mess all those cables are, and that stupid power brick. Anyway, one last time, the final Wii U game.

I sincerely hope the system doesn't give up halfway through...

I have to say, if there's one thing I'm really disappointed in, it's the Sheikah Slate Carrying Case. It looks really silly in person. I'm gonna sell it for sure.

That, and the low-powered joycons are getting on my nerves too. If I'm sitting the wrong way, or some bottle on the coffee table is in the way, it'll keep skipping. I have a pretty small living room, too.

That's about it for my gripes, though. There's so much to enjoy here.

Got married.

Is there a way to turn the GamePad screen off? The screen flashing and saying ''Tap here to play on the GamePad'' is quite distracting. Didn't Aonuma say you're not supposed to look down while you're driving? Then why put a flashing screen on my lap!?
