@Zuljaras Great news!

I never drive faster than I can see. Besides, it's all in the reflexes.

@Zuljaras - It was almost a given considering that Aspyr is involved.

Hearing Aspyr is doing Shadows of the Empire next. That's the perfect direction.

@Paraka Where did you here that? It makes sense as it released on PC.

Has anyone bought the regular Star Wars doublepacks from THQ Nordic? I mean the Jedi Knight games and the Racer/Commando combo pack.

I wonder which version they put on cartridge. There has been some patches and I would love to have them on cartridge.

@GrailUK - It was around the time Aspyr came out with the Ep1 Racer announcement. Supposedly they talked about having a list of products in mind with this franchise. And Shadows supposedly the next on that list.

@Paraka Oh, cool! I mean, don't get me wrong. it's an awful game but one I would play again for atmoshpere (and to wash Disney's Star Wars out.)

@GrailUK - I personally loved it as a kid (nowhere near as much as I loved Racer, still a tragedy that wasn't a whole franchise now). Even then, I am willing to bet it didn't age as well as Racer did.

@Paraka I was wowed by the end starship fight, but i never got on with the 3rd person sections lol. But like I said, the atmosphere was great (if a little creepy lol)

Pre-orders for Premium Edition Games' series 3 physical releases are going live.
https://premiumeditiongames.com/collections/coming-soon

In the UK, Bazaar-Bazaar is accepting pre-orders with a partial payment option.
These are imported to the UK and then shipped domestically, and the price is reflective of that.
A 5% discount should be available when using code "AMZ001" for first time customers, or "SWITCHMANIA" might also work. I've shopped with them before.

I expect Video Games Plus will be taking pre-orders too quite soon, but they don't appear to be live yet.

Phoentopia Awakening is apparently quite the hidden gem.

@X-Slayer
Bazaar-Bazaar.com is a UK retailer that imports stock to sell domestically.
Simply, they've imported USA stock to sell in the UK.
USA customers need to buy these Premium Edition Games from premiumeditiongames.com

Getting kind of crazy with the releases this week.

Super Rare also released their physical only, along with the triple pack.

Sorry for the double post (wanted to send an alert to those watching the thread). With Diamond/Pearl out now, anyone confirm the required download or not?

Paraka

RupeeClock

@Paraka
Brilliant Diamond is bootable and playable without the update, it comes with v1.0.0 on the game card. Haven't personally confirmed Shining Pearl but I assume it's no different, keeping in mind that the ROMs on the cartridges are near-identical except for a single flag.

Playing v1.0.0 though, this is more like a beta build that lacks a proper title screen or intro sequence, or an end credits sequence, and will be missing connectivity features for local or online play.
Plus some other stuff will be missing like the park that lets you encounter version-specific legendary Pokémon.

The current update data for v1.1.1 weighs around 2.4GB. By comparison, update data for Sword/Shield is 2.9 GB.

Paraka

@RupeeClock - I expected Connection issues, as other games act the same way. Shocking how many chunks are missing from the game at a 1.0.0 build.

May be waiting for the inevitable DLC variant.

@Paraka
I'm not too surprised, the reality of needing to manufacture hundreds of thousands of these games is seemingly catching up to developers and publishers.
Whilst I understand the 1.0 build lacking connectivity features, which sometimes require a patch to enable online play, I don't entirely understand the lack of opening and ending credits video files.

RupeeClock

Paraka

@RupeeClock - Well that and the glaring omission of a feature that grants access to a legendary.

Paraka

RupeeClock

@Paraka
That could either be it was completed late on their development roadmap, or they planned it that way to incentivize downloading the update.

Anyone know if Eastward will get a North American release?
