Topic: Super Smash Bros v Breath of the Wild

Hey guys, SwitchGamer here,
My birthday is coming up soon (12th February to be exact), and I am thinking about getting another Switch game. I think the next game I will get is between Super Smash Bros Ultimate or Breath of Wild. I don't know much about either of the games, but I have heard they are both very popular. If any of you have played either of these games can you give your opinions on which is the better game.

@SwitchGamer I suggest smash. But if you like adventure games Zelda will probably be better. If you want to play with friends or fam, definitely get smash

I'd go with Breath of the Wild. There's so much to do in that game and completely worth the money, it'll keep you busy for a very long time. Smash bros nowadays is a game I'd only play with my friends. I used to play smash ultimate all the time by myself but I ended up getting burnt out lol, I can't bring myself to play the game alone anymore lol.

But yeah, if you want a good single-player game go with Breath of the Wild, if you play games with friends frequently, then maybe pick smash.

@SwitchGamer I say, Breath of the Wild. There's a magic to the game & it's world. It's revolutionary for zelda/nintendo, and I put a few hundred hours into it, played it 2.5 times. There's plenty to do if you want to progress, or plenty to do if you just want to relax.

Fighting games have never held my attention long, but that's me.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is a miracle of a game. A game of that scope shouldn't exist for what they're charging

With that being said a lot of the milleage you'll get depends on how much you either enjoy fighting games, multiplayer games, or even have an attachment to the series represented in the game considering a lot of the hype for Smash games comes from the newcomer choices

Breath of the Wild made a lot larger impact on me than Super Smash Bros Ultimate. Super Smash Bros Ultimate is just another Super Smash Bros game, not much special.

@SwitchGamer I would go with smash but if you love a world that basicly never ends BTOW if for u.

Unless you really like the loop of fighting in Smash, maybe Smash, but that's all you're really getting in Ultimate. I think it has the least variety in modes in its series. Breath of the Wild is an open world adventure game and one of the best Zelda games I've beaten. You can pretty much chose a new direction to go in each sitting and have a new experience. The game's combat is very open as well. For instance, you can rush into an enemy camp with weapon and shield drawn or you can toss a bomb from a distance, get an enemy curious and then send them flying into the air.
