New Super Mario 2D Land DX:GPN-3TT-5HG
A remake of the first level I made in the first Super Mario Maker, and is based off the first level of Super Mario 3D Land.
Starts with quick tutorial on the catsuit/! Blocks and than you enter the park proper.
Optional Challenge Collect all five red coins.
The level rewards keeping your catsuit but you can collect all five without it if you are skilled enough but both those and the catsuit are not required to win(aside from the catsuit in the tutorial section)
@GreenJeans I just ran ... and then slid off that semi solid platform. Lol Did a few more more attempts and I think I’ll have to try again in the morning.
@Galarian_Lassie lol I gotcha. When I had to clear check it I bout raged quite a few times myself. It's definitely frustrating, especially at the end geeeeeezzz lol. The other level is wayyy smoother.
@Ralizah Ah so not easier, but more enjoyable. That's good, I didn't think some may actually prefer one path over the other due to preferring a level style. Thanks for the feedback.
@Renegad3 thanks for playing my level! My goal was to train the physics for the first 3 parts and give a boss battle that incorporated the on/off switches. Wanted to keep the difficulty up hence no checkpoint. I did include an easy kill for the boss room as an alternate but it’s a challenge to activate.
Try my latest level: It’s a 1 screen puzzle (my first). If you haven’t played through the campaign yet you may struggle as it teaches you a mechanic which I haven’t seen in a Mario Maker level yet? Good luck! Included a couple ways to trick the player.

Hey guys, just finished making my first proper level! I worked so hard on it (it took around 10 hours to make) so I would love some of y'all to try it out

It's a pretty long course, focused entirely on bob-ombs, and how they interact with different objects, and ends with a completely custom boss battle (no fire flower bowser battles in this course!).
@citizenerased very cool level! Can definitely see how Breath of the Wild inspired it. Great job! Especially enjoyed how you made a 2D plat-former appear as if it’s open world.
@Stryker82 Thank you! Hope you managed to find some of the secrets You can actually skip the shrine almost completely, but I'll leave that to speedrunners, haha. Did you manage to beat it?
I tried Deja Vu a couple of times but couldn't get through it First time I had to restart because the P-switch was over but I didn't have any bombs to blow up the blocks. Maybe if the P-switch came out of a pipe, so you'd have several tries? I managed to get across the lava, but died on the spike. What's the next move here, do I need to keep riding in the shell?
@citizenerased I set a few traps such as hitting the block for the P switch. Also be careful - don’t grab all coins. The spike makes it so you lose the shell which is needed to use shell from koopa to activate TNT. Then you have access to top ? Box which has another shell. Ride the shell past the saw to activate the on/off switch. I’ll leave the rest for you to figure out!
And yes I beat your level by going through the shrine.
