Topic: Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection

@OorWullie Ah cool, I'd forgotten what games in the collection had online. If memory serves, I've played HYPER, TURBO and maybe ALPHA 1 on arcade cabinets and SNES. Then considerably less experience with THIRD STRIKE. Really looking forward to playing that entry come the end of May 👊

Has anyone played Ultra Steet Fighter 2 in portable form with the joycons? If so how does using the buttons work instead of using a d-pad?

I'm looking for a controller option to play the collection and there's plenty of separate options for docked (Pro, 3rd party, wired, fightstick etc) but not many for portable play. What is everyone planning on using for docked or portable play?

unfortunately it's landing on July 31st... so we'll have to wait and play with analog/awkward so-called joycon d-pad till then

@CaPPa As a non pad player the joycons work about as well as a dpad for me. So I don't get the gripe personally. I'll be using my HRAP but I'm thinking about making a smaller portable joystick using a procon. Perhaps later this year.

Now that Dark Souls is delayed, this just gives me more reason to grab the 40th Ann. collection.

@SwitchForce yes. I chatted to them yesterday and essentially they told me, in generic cut and paste answers, there is nothing they can do.

I will keep checking as the prohibited status is bound to be lifted on it soon enough.

@Lroy For me, Base has been better than Amazon, well amazon Uk at least for the past year and a half or so.
They don't ship immediately, but the games arrive quicker nonetheless and their prices are nearly always better for the games I'm looking to buy.

I suspect they are keeping it for the UK market first and when that is fulfilled they will give others purchase option at later date. I know on Amazon UK there were games I couldn't pre-order but later on when I checked I was able to make the order.

Got some extra cash as a bonus and decided to go ahead and pre-ordered this from Amazon UK. £38. More than I wanted to spend but on this occasion as it was money I didn't expect to have, I thought what the hell. Also finally plucked up the folly to order the HORI Arcade Stick as well gulp quite the financial splurge today ☺️

Any of you fellas got this Arcade Stick from HORI and use an adapter to play in table-top mode? If so, what cable do I need to buy. Worried about bricking the system based on recent reports about the Switch and USB-C cables/devices.
