I must really want this game. Just got my two under the weather kids out of the house for an impromptu trip to our nearest Argos. Cheaper than Amazon pre-order and got it on the right day. Cancelled Amazon.

I got mine from Game and paid Β£44.99 for it, looks like I was overcharged a lot!!! Oh well, I haven't bought a game in ages and I used Β£10 of my Game credit for it so it worked out ok.
So, anyone up for some online play later? Maybe 7pm to 8pm UK time? What SF game do you want to play?

@wasilewski I'll likely be on and off online with this game over the coming fortnight. If you see me online at the same time you are. Give me a holler in here and I'll do likewise.
Finding it pretty tough going so far. I don't seem to be able to pull off the special moves at will on my Arcade Stick at all. Surprised me. I must be much, much worse and out of practice than I realised.
Also what setting is ideal for the input lag on the online mode? Default is at '3'.
@Lroy I need to experiment around with input lag myself. I didn't notice it to be too bad without changing any settings, although no one else was using the internet at that time.
One thing that is a bit annoying is that they don't give you an instruction booklet with all the moves in it. I have to keep pausing and then trying to memorise them!

@wasilewski I think if you go to the training mode and fiddle with settings there it might have a list of moves? Certainly saw a screen with the special moves listed for the character I was training with. Perhaps I'd paused it?
For folks in the know with arcade sticks, the Switch HORI one. I'm using this stick and just wondered if the button switch on the side of base needs to be on D-pad or L Stick? I've always left it on D-pad but wondered if I'm 'doing SF II' wrong with this setting.

@Lroy Yeah there is a list of moves when you hit pause, I prefer to have my iPad open with a list of moves and then glance between that and the screen (on training mode) instead of pausing all the time.

@wasilewski I'm definitely finding it hard to perform specific moves on demand. I thought it was just my own lack of practice or getting used to my Arcade Stick. I played a few matches with the Switch Pro controller to see if there was any difference. I'd say my move success rate is the same with both, perhaps even slightly better with the Pro?!!

Do you think there is a bug in there somewhere? I'm just playing with the normal Switch Joycon, but I can consistently perform the moves in SFU no problems.

@wasilewski I'm more inclined to think it is my own lack of technique than a bug at this stage but will be curious to hear if others are experiencing the same thing.
Just to add more of a positive Offline play has been very smooth and I'm really liking the STREET FIGHTER III games and some of the ALPHAs. I hadn't realised just how little past experience I had with those ones. All my memories are of playing the original cabs for the early STREET FIGHTER II entries plus a hacked version prior to HYPER FIGHTING with had Balrog unleash fireballs when he did a back and forward punch. Anyone else remember or play that hacked rom? I just assumed it was the game back in the day, what with it actually being an arcade machine but apparently these Modded arcade boards were rife shortly after the first STREET FIGHTER II and CHAMPIONSHIP EDITION.
I've not seen any control issues so far...just using the joycons atm though. Will look for my HRAP when I go check my storage unit on Monday. (I hope it's not in the back)

@Lroy I was struggling when I first got my MadCatz arcade stick, after some research I learned many stick makers use Square restrictor gates and in NA we are more accustomed to Octognal gates
you will need to watch YouTube videos on Square vs Octognal gates to see what I mean (unless you do)
I picked up a octognal gate on amazon and it was night and day difference for me
@ValhallaOutcast Thanks for the info, I'll try and find some videos about 'gate' shapes and take a look. I think it is mainly a case of me persevering and making myself get comfortable using the stick. The old, I've bought the thing, now I must use it, lol!
