I'm really hoping this is good. I was a huge fan of the original on the N64, played it to death. I bought the PC port, but the thing won't recognize my joystick and I feel the game wasn't exactly built for mouse and keyboard. So here's hoping the Switch version works well.
I'm hoping we are waiting for some US timezone trigger. Last time they bailed the night before, so I'd hope that it means we are still on track for later today.
Don't want to speak ill of the company doing the port but the communications strategy seems bare. Would have thought we'd have got some indication yesterday that it was on track. No pun intended.
@Chris77 Agreed. It's a bit weird. You would think there would have at least been a little bit of marketing or some posts on social media about the supposed imminent release.
I have it, and its good! My only really complaint is that there apparently is only one music track that plays during races(or at least seems like it). Otherwise, this is a fun adrenaline pumping racing game! Probably one of the better futuristic racers on the Switch, despite being over 20 years old.
Best star wars racer period! Had the original cart and i was always kinda bummed after i sold it. I heard this got a sequel that almost nobody played so i can't say if that one is better. Maybe i should look into it.

@Zeldafan79 That's correct. It is called Star Wars Racer Revenge. It was a Playstation 2 exclusive and didn't get much attention upon it's release. I know it was also reissued digitally on the PS3 and PS4, so if you have one of those consoles you can download it.

Are you sure? I'm pretty certain there are different songs depending on which track you race (like...y'know, most games would) in the original, so that'd be a weird change if true.
