Topic: Kirby and the Forgotten Land

I certainly want this game, but it'll have to wait a bit; as a newer Kirby fan, I'm planning to revisit some of the older/objectively best titles first before jumping in. I think that'll make me appreciate this game more in the long run.

@NinChocolate Just wanted to step in and say I'm enjoying watching your countdown to the game! Also, while your avatar is clearly Kirby, sometimes when I see it in passing it reminds me of Courage the Cowardly Dog.

I went ahead & pre ordered it. Looking forward to Friday (assuming it arrives on time).

@NinChocolate Valentine's was last month yet that chocolate heart is making me exceptionally peckish.

@Tom-Smo They should drop either tomorrow or Thursday, generally it's just a day or two before the release of the game.

I totally forgot this game is coming out this week! I'm not too sure about a day one purchase, as the demo didn't absolutely blow me away or anything. If it gets good reviews, I probably will buy it on day one, though.

I do wonder if this game will get content updates like Star Allies did.

Well Forgotten Land actually seems like it will make sense as a full price game at launch, so maybe not. :V

I've not even played Star Allies yet but I'm unendingly fascinated at who decided they needed to put out a Kirby game quicker than before for their first HD mainline Kirby game and that Splatoon-like free updates would make exactly as much sense for a simple 2d platformer as it does an online shooter.

@NinChocolate haha, yeah my self-control when it comes to Nintendo games is pretty bad. I'm probably going to buy this on day 1 anyway

@kkslider5552000 I played it late, but that Parallel Dimensions...story...thing (along with an extra level of the arena thing that's in that game) felt like it would be an actual content update-worthy or something considering what the other modes the game had. Usually most Kirby games had the main story and a special "speed-run" type mode where you play as Meta Knight (or other characters in general in Star Allies), and that was pretty much it aside from a few mini games and the arena modes.

So I was thinking we could get an extra story mode or something later.

I'm pretty sure I worded that first part wrong, but you get my point. lol

SO happy that this is getting 9's and 8's everywhere. Was not expecting it, and I will definitely be preordering this now!

Gonna take a detour on my way to work tomorrow to grab my copy of the game. Might bring my Switch to work and play it on my breaks. I imagine the levels will be just short enough for me to sneak one or two in throughout the day

...Not a big fan of the ability, but...no matter what game it is, the Hammer always has that satisfying bass-y "thwomp" sound. lol
