So I just beat the Meta Knight mode on Robobot and I'm kinda wishing they would bring back more old final bosses again, even if they're themed like the whole beast/wild theme with this game. I mean, I don't know how a wild Dark Matter and Sectonia would look, but you get my point. xD
Anyways yeah, I wonder if this game will have a Meta Knight mode. One thing I did like in Star Allies is the playable characters, they should at least bring that back at some point. Even if it isn't in this game.

@DomGC Literally the first thing I did when gaining control of Kirby in the opening area was spin around like a madman. To put it simply: they completely nailed the spin test.

@NinChocolate Unfortunately no. Never had access to the eShop on 3DS since I didn't even know it existed at the time (yes I'm serious) and was never able to pick up Planet Robobot in order to play 3D Rumble since it was never in stock at my local toy stores. I rue it to this day.

The demo was fun, but it seems they simplified the transformations. I mean, every power had multiple functions in the past. But that now seems out of the window, sadly.
@Henmii A necessary evil I suppose. Could you imagine having to put in the amount of depth from the later 2D games into the first proper 3D one? Then again, we have ability upgrades in this one so maybe there's more depth than would first appear.

@Henmii It's hard to gauge exactly how much they've done since there's not a place to check ability movesets in-game (though WiKirby has lists for the 4 abilities in the demo), but there are some attacks that are context-sensitive, like a few of Cutter's attacks only being performed when Kirby is by an enemy, and Sword in particular has several moves tied to crouching and dodging that aren't immediately clear. I think they've done a serviceable job given the shift to 3D, and evolved abilities seem to help pick up the slack
Downloaded the demo and played through it and Holy crap I am impressed. Controls felt good, graphics were good and the gameplay was just a blast. This is a game I would like to try with my son on co-op.
The only problem is this game comes out the same day as Tiny Tina's Wonderlands so not quite sure when I will have time for it. It will definitely be added to my backlog.

@NinChocolate I love the calender
I am excited about the game, I only watched the announcement trailer back there, then nothing, not even played the demo.
FAVOURITE GAME: Super Mario Odyssey
FAVOURITE OST: Deus Ex: Human Revolution
@blindsquarel It's not even really complaining, they're just, like..."OH MY GAWD THEY CHANGED HIS LOOKS!!", as if this is the biggest news in Kirby history. xD
Why weren't they freaking out over him in Star Allies where he has oversized muscular arms? xD (with a torn opened shirt, might I add. lol)

Played the Demo over the weekend and I loved it. Better my expectations. Everything was very smooth, felt and looked great. The 30fps seems pretty stable and honestly for this type of game is fine. 60fps isn't needed at all, people get to hung up on FPS these days honestly.
I'll admit that the 30fps was jarring at first...but when fully immersed in the game I forgot it was even a thing, especially considering it has a fixed camera so fast, sweeping movements are at a minimum.
That said, I did notice on occasion that objects at a distance are rendered in a lower frame rate (sub-10?). Better than not rendered at all I guess...
@Buizel Yeah, the distance stuff looked really bad. Everything else looked really good, except for that. Regardless, I'm still super excited to play it!

I honestly can't wait for this game. Played the demo twice now and probably will be playing it a third time on co-op with my son. It's a shame that Nintendo decided to bring this out the same day Tiny Tina's Wonderlands comes out. Why Nintendo why???
