I’m loving Salmon Run, I’m glad it’s 24/7 now as I never really understood why it was limited in the previous game.

@jump I think I can find it, but they pretty much said I think. That it’s just because they thought that’s what was best, and how they wanted you to player there game.

Salmon Run being available 24/7 is such a great improvement, as well as skipping the news feed. Probably the two most frequent complaints of Splatoon 2.

They really did go above and beyond refining the structure of the game to provide the most enjoyable experience possible.

I wonder how many Salmon Run maps we'll get? It launched with how many... 3 maps, is it? Splatoon 2 had 5 I believe. So we should at least get 2 more added in updates, maybe more.

Looking in terms of saving the Wii U, the Splatoon 1 maps that aren't in either Switch game currently are:

• Urchin Underpass
• Saltspray Rig
• Bluefin Depot
• Flounder Heights

I think Flounder Heights was confirmed for post-launch in Splatoon 3 but hopefully they all come to Splatoon 3.

So, what time of the day do the in-game stores update with new items? I imagine the update time may differ depending on time zones & regions. I'm in eastern US.

I noticed Merch says it costs 45 chunks to change the main ability of an item of gear. It's nice we finally have that option. That's a lot, but at least it's more attainable.

I've seen someone who's already added a slot to a piece of gear. How did they do that already??? Merch doesn't have that option in my game. I assumed it's because we don't have Super Sea Snails yet from a Splatfest.

Oh YEAH! I noticed my one slot gear is earning and accumulating ability chunks after it's full, just like our Splatfest T's did in Splatfest. Once the slots are filled, it will keep earning, and giving you ability chunks. I don't know if there's something special about that gear that is giving me chunks, or if all gear works like this now. Does anyone know?

Why does my Octoling look like he's about to try and sell me on a cryptocurrency.

It feels like a massive slog to get all the weapons and clothes again, I miss my gal gun!

@jump My Octoboy amiibo card gear helped. The chest knight's armor has ink saver sub. And on Splatnet 3, there were some black shoes with ink saver sub, but those just rotated out in the past few hours.

For an Online mostly game Splatoon 3 is really buggy lately. Im always getting communication errors almost every time i am on. theres only a few times ive actually got through a battle.

You can upgrade for new slots by boosting Star Power. You can either do that at Murch for Sea Snails, or if the shops are offering the same gear you can upgrade for 10k coins for the second slot and 30k for the third. Any aditionally Star Power lowers the points you need to get sub abilities.

...They really need to fix Salmon Run, I don't know why, but when I started playing it for the first time I was having fun. Now it's just frustratingly hard all the time, very rarely am I able to win a game. There's no difficulty options or anything, either...I wanted to love this mode, but now it's just stressful. T.T

If you're getting consistent communication errors (not teammates leaving early) and there's nothing unusual going on with your wi-fi, try rebooting the game and/or console.

You can lower your rank if you want. You have to press ZR in the menu where you can start a game (L Button).
The higher your rank the higher your danger level.
Btw. The current map is pretty hard. The other 2 new maps are a lot easier. I had to lower my rank from Eggsecutive VP back to Profreshional myself. 😅

Speaking of which. Anyone expirienced a bug with the new special wave with Mudmouth? They are glitching all over the place. Sliding through the map out of the map and killing everyone in its way? And they beeing on a totally different possition for you than your team? My team is throwing bombs at a possition where nothing is. The Gold Eggs are spawning there though. It only happened on the returning Splatoon 2 Salmon Run map.

I could be just grasping at straws here, but hear me out.

What if we get new playable inklings? Deep cut looks nothing like other inklings or octolings. Shivers eyes are a completely different shape on top of eye distance. And wile frye does have the connected eye mask, it’s still a different shape, and there eyes are nothing like we have seen with others.

And at this point we know that there based off of sharks, or could be. So maybe we might get shark inklings (Sharklings?) in the dlc? However, there is one big thing that I think denies my claim, shiver has a suction cup pod on her hair just like the odtolings, soooo.

Like I said, probably just grasping at straws, but would be so cool if true.(And yes J know this int new information and yes I know pretty much every person thought of this)

@Budda That sucks, I want to increase my rank...I thought the difficulty was always just at a default level or something. >.<

We need more options for this mode, like a set difficulty level, or the ability to take your own group of weapons, or something. lol

I've been playing a LOT of Story Mode over the past two days (I'm on the penultimate island already 0_0) and there's been one level in particular that has opened my eyes to a weapon I thought looked cool but the archetype it belonged to didn't interest me all too much: Splatana Stamper.

When I first saw it, I thought it was absolutely hilarious how they managed to stick in what is essentially a chainsaw into Splatoon and then proceeded to carry on with my life not paying much heed to it until the game's release. However, after playing the Story Mode level that this thing is built around....I have to use one of my Gold Tickets on it.

This absolute beast of a weapon has absurdly large range for what is essentially a melee weapon, easy OHKO's from out of nowhere and, best of all, one of the most bonkers sub/special kits I've ever seen: Zipcaster (when it's already a heavily melee weapon, this just gives it the ability to be literally anywhere)....and BURST BOMBS (...do I really need to say anything?).

I may not care too much for Splatanas as a class myself (even if I think they're a brilliant idea), but the Stamper is definitely I'll be trying out for myself.
