Topic: Splatoon 3

Really enjoying this game after playing a lot of splatoon 2. Out a solid four hours in and hit level 7. Favorite weapon is the same as the test fire! The aero spray. I do like to use the brush also which I just unlocked to get more area inked but the aerospray is awesome.

Where are lockers????
EDIT: OMG That's where the lockers are!?!? It looks like an empty wall, but it's actually sliding doors. How was I ever going to find this??? There next to the gumball/capsule machine. Yeah, that blank expletive wall. Wow.

I'm level 4.
Beat the first boss in single player.
Played 6-8 rounds of Salmon Run - it's great by the way. I reached Overachiever rank.

The single player is sick! I'm loving it. The music is great!
That dance/techno tune playing the Salmon Run helicopter is amazing! I love it!

I'm sure they'll add more eventually but just having the one at launch probably makes sense with how infrequently you get to fight them anyway.

@WoomyNNYes I had to look up where the lockers were. Had no clue either.

Yeah there are two things so far his game doesn’t tell you, locker locations, and how to do the boost in ink.

@Fizza I booted up Splatoon 2 after importing the data to Splatoon 3. Splatoon 2 is fine.

@Snatcher The lockers are to the left of the gumball machine in the lobby. Those grayish/white panels are the sliding doors. Go over to it.

"Boost in ink" When swimming up a wall, long press the swim button, then let go, and it will boost you up the wall. Or, if you change direction and jump at the same time (like mario side flip), you'll change direction quick. There's also Swim Speed Up ability on gear, which incrementally increases your swim speed a bit.

@WoomyNNYes Do they tell you if you can boost in the ground? I only remember them saying the wall.

The TableTurf card game doesn't appear to be playable offline. What a shame.

@SnackPop Online, you mean? I just looked into it earlier today since I was also curious and it seems the online mode is coming later. I figured it was the case since there are tables set up in the lobby for it.

I think it does tell you how to do the ink boost thing, in story mode.

I've been contemplating what to use my Gold Tickets on myself and I think I've reached a conclusion:

• Sloshing Machine (unlocks at Level 14 and actually has a kit I can stand this time round so I'll definitely be trying it out).
• Dualie Squelchers (unlocks at Level 8 and my co-main of choice in 2 alongside Aerospray so that's an instagrab. It's even got Wave Breaker for displacement like the Ink Storm of old!)
• Undecided between Luna Blaster, Bloblobber, Splatana Stamper and Ballpoint Splatling (these are all ones that come relatively late into the unlock process so it would definitely be one I want to grab sooner rather than later, but I'm just not sure which one to go for out of the 4. Only time will tell I suppose)

@Late When I found a booster pack in the campaign, it told me to go to the lobby to open it. Going to the lobby when you're offline just kicks you back into the main plaza before you can open the booster packs.

Salmon run is a blast btw.

Idk what my favorite weapon is yet, loving the slosher tho.

@SnackPop Well that sucks. I must say I found it weird that you have to be Level 4 to access the card game in the first place when you can currently only play the card game against an AI. The place to play it is in the hub world. The shortest route is through the alley right of the lobby building. But I guess if you're offline only, you can't level up and start playing.

I assume the booster packs in story mode are limited and you'd have to play online to get more eventually but it's still a pretty big problem to be unable to access offline content unless you play an hour online first.

EDIT: Opening the boosters inside the lobby actually may make some sense. It's so that the server knows the cards you have when the game does go online. So it's basically there to prevent hacking. I still think it should at least give you the starter deck so you can try the game out.

@SnackPop But, unless I'm reading this wrong, that doesn't mean you can't play the mode, it only means you can't open packs whilst offline. Sorry in advance if it turns out I'm wrong but that's just the way I'm viewing it from that statement.

Splatoon 3 is awesome sauce I just got it on the 9th. There are a few times where it has some communication errors though.

I don't believe there is a way get a burst of speed while swimming in ink on the ground. Rapidly pressing swim button is all we have for swimming in ink on the ground. If you think you saw something in a direct, maybe you're thinking of the Reefslider special weapon.

Replay Comlaints

• Can't view other team's player views. In Rocket League we can. Its very enlightening to see what the other team is doing, be it bad or great. Great way to learn.
• Can't save Salmon Run matches? That was short sighted. Maybe that will come in the future.
