Topic: Splatoon 3

Well, I just purchased the game! Looking forward to starting it after work today!

So there are achievements that give you point for your catalog. Is there a way to see them, like a list? Or do have we to get them randomly?

I went to Wal-Mart today and saw Splatoon 3 in the cabinet. Good to see it in stock.

@octokid I got the Splattershot & Splattershot Pro. I used them plenty in Splatoon 2. I have two more tickets left to pick weapons, but I'm not sure what I want next since I don't know the new weapons & kits well yet.

@Budda I can't find it in-game, but you can flip through the catalog on the Nintendo Online App.

So, for anyone who wanted to have their squid kid/octoling hit the dab like they saw in the trailer, then get ready to clear out 98 levels in the catalog first.

Yeah I know. It says I earned 7500 points for my first win of the day. That's an achievement. There should be more though? If you can't earn points outside of just winning a match per day and the regular points, it will become pretty rough earning all 100 catalog items in 3 month.

Yeah, d-definitely got my copy guys....y-yep just uh....waiting for the right time to play it....yeah.

@Budda Ooooooh, I see now. When you said "achievements" I was assuming you meant the items you unlock as you level it up.

But I completely agree that it will feel like a slog getting to 100 in time if they don't give you achievement bonuses along the way

@octokid Actually, regarding using the 3 gold tickets for weapons (tickets given for having Splatoon 2 save data). I know they were for letting us pick weapons that don't unlock until later levels, but it hadn't really sunk in until later. So, Looking up towards level 30, which should take months to get to, I picked the bloblobber, since I liked that in Splatoon 2 - Bloblobber is about level 15, or 20, I didn't pay close attention, but it would have taken a while.

@WoomyNNYes Being able to immediately grab an Aerospray MG after loving it in the Testfire makes me a very happy man. If you see an Octoling spamming Reefsliders the entire match, that'll probably be me XD

Having loads of connection issues. Really putting a damper on the ol’ enjoyment.

‘A communication error has occurred’ like 4 times out of 5.

Yeah, they haven't bothered me too much, but I'm also getting connection errors...even my very first turf war ended quickly with an error. lol

....and Nintendo is making us pay for this online. lol

AHHH. The first boss is AWESOME!<333 I love it! So rad. ......Talking about the single player campaign.

My online experience has been solid. One person disconnected once, but that's not the game's fault.

Edit: I need to play salmon run so I can get that reflective rainbow baseball hat. That's todays gear/prize.

I can't say anything about the quality of online matches in the full game as I haven't played any yet. Been playing story mode and going to be playing it until completion before playing online.

Alright, I've got a question regarding this imported save data from Splatoon 2 into 3: does it get rid of your save data on Splatoon 2? I was watching GG Gabriel Gaming's stream of it (highly recommend them by the way, they were the one who enlightened me on the Aerospray) and these images make me confused:



To anyone here who's done this process, would you mind logging back into 2 to see if your save data (for stuff like online, single player, etc.) is still there? I'd hate having to lose all of my progress in 2 just because I wanted to play Ranked and get 3 weapons early. If anyone who's done it wouldn't mind checking asap, I'd greatly appreciate it!

My goodness, I’m not going to write out a whole thing, but this game, in my opinion, feels so much better then splatoon 2, it, just feels, like an upgrade, it’s smooth, the graphics are nice, I love it so much!

@Fizza I wouldn’t think so, as the game doesn’t port you character over like that, the level determines how many gold tickets you get I think.

Guess not, I figured the map change would also change the King boss... :c
