@MrCarlos46 That's the reason why I'm not sure. Splatoon 2 was a clear cut setup of Chaos vs. Order Splatfest happened and then Nintendo added "Turf War (Splatfest)" and all the Shifty Stations to private battles.

Meanwhile with Splatoon 3, Grand Splatlands Bowl is still locked away after the Big Run and Splatfest in September 2024 but also you can't even play Tricolor in private battles. A Grand Fest re-run could also be a way to bring Splatoon back into the spotlight in the leadup to Splatoon Raiders.

@Grumblevolcano A Grand Festival rerun is possible but pretty unlikely. Pretty sure when they showed it in the Raiders announcement it was just to show how better it looks on Switch 2, not a sign of a possible rerun though they could’ve at least put a disclaimer that specifies “when you visit the Grand Festival Grounds with the idol amiibo.”

With Grand Festival having those “you just had to be there” vibes it just makes it even less likely Grand Festival returns.

@WoomyNNYes Speaking of icons, the last wave of those Splatoon icons from May is up right now.

From what I may have seen, icon sets only return once or twice after the first run, so chances are this set will actually be gone forever after this rerun, especially with Splatoon’s 10th anniversary seemingly over now

@MrCarlos46 Even if I never use them, I went ahead and got all of them. I only keep a few favorite icons at a time since NSO icons often aren't visible and they're not used more than they should be.

My favorite one from this category is Marie and Shiver cuddling Judd and Li'l Judd. Purrfect!

@Dev-N The one with Pearl was SOOOOO good too, she looks squishy in it, I actually still have it as my Switch pfp.

Ngl they should’ve made backgrounds for the set.

Or better yet, Nintendo should start letting us mix and match icon elements from different categories so we could also do our own combos.

@CaleBoi25 Pretty sure they won’t be using the Squid Sisters and Off the Hook again now with their stories wrapped up after this trilogy.

Deep Cut, they’ll probably come back in Splatoon 4 after Raiders, maybe we’ll see them interact with the new idols…

I hate that there's people who seriously think Splatoon Raiders might be cancelled just because we know nothing months after it was announced. Is Rhythm Heaven Groove in trouble, too? We know nothing about that game since it was announced in a Direct way back in March.

@Dev-N I actually meant to write Splatoon 4 in the original comment, I edited it after finding out.

It’s the end of the season, which means there’s a gold rotation in Salmon Run this Saturday and Sunday at Jammin’ Salmon Junction.

I’ll try to get the gold badge for that stage this time. I’ve come close.

I can never get past VP 200 or low 300s playing solo. Although, if there's a time to try, it's in the first few hours when the rotation starts, when most tryhards are on.

Just as I thought, there’s another Big Run this December at Barnacle & Dime. It’s the 12th through 14th.
