The squid sisters and off the hook appearances were charming, but also kind of disappointing. They clearly had the idea of the old idols coming back for news reports, but just didnt fully implement it. Still, it was a really nice surprise. I cant wait for this fest to finally start! Crazy to think that its already been over two years since the start of splat3!
September's Salmon Run gear is the return of the Bream-Brim Cap which was the September 2022 gear so August 2024 was the last month of new Salmon Run gear.
I picked future. Just because I want team past to win. I'm on a big losing streak at Splatfests. The decision was between present and future. And I picked the team with the best idol ever - AY! (Big Man!)
Just picked my Splatfest team (Future) and played the game for a bit. Played a few Turf War matches and a couple Salmon Run sessions... but the latter is still really, really unkind to me. Anybody know what weapons are best for SR? I really want to like this mode, but it's always bad session after bad session on my end, unfortunately.

@WoomyNNYes I picked Future since I like working towards it. It fits my personality the best I think. It's a similar reason to why I picked Bucket List for that apocalypse-themed Splatfest from earlier. I almost picked Past since I kinda miss being a kid, but Future was what I ultimately decided on. I like futuristic and sci-fi themes in general too. It's part of the reason why I like games like F-Zero, Metroid, and Mega Man.

@MarioVillager92 I ended up picking Present, even though I REALLY like the Future tshirt better. I had to force myself to pick something so I could start earning conch shells.
Grand Festival news article with downloadable gear went live in north america as of, like, 11pm to midnight.
Weird. It works a little different now. The download button boots up the game. I went to the lobby to confirm that the computer had a notification icon for receiving the gear, and turned off the game. When i booted the game back up, the notification icon at the computer was gone. I had to go back to the splatfest news article to use the download button to reboot the game. So, don't putt off getting your gear like me.😆

No offense, but EW! I would hate to play an online game if I am not playing real people! Now, if they added local multiplayer bots, so my and two friends could have a "full" lobby, fine, go ahead (But make it toggleable!). But please Nintendo... don't fill online matches with bots!
I wonder if we're done getting new SR suits that cost 150 silver scales? I'm sitting on 250 silver scales, but I still don't think I like any of the 150 silver scale suits better than my white suit. XD
@CaleBoi25 SO!?!? Did you get the "thank you for playing" title from the sizzle season catalog? Your splashtag title still says "X Battle Trainee". I decided not to grind. So, my catalog level was 85 went it ended.
@WoomyNNYes No, sadly... I made it to level 92, but just couldn't get enough wins to make it all the way. Although... My Splashtag hasn't been X Battle Trainee for about a month now, I wonder why you still see that one...? (It is currently Chaotic World Champ.)
@CaleBoi25 Ahh, dang it! oh well. I didn't earn the title either. Crossing my fingers that it might show up in a shellout capsule, but I'm not holding my breath.
Interesting. I guess showing your previous title is a glitch, then. Or the game literally only updates friend's lockers & splashtags once a month.😆
