@card-crunch78 Yeah, the tower is hard without the marina hacks. I buffed the heck out of armor regeneration speed, damage reduction, and main weapon damage, and unlocked two extra lives. Chip bias can help, and so can reducing vending machine prices.
The weapons unlock from the lockers in a mostly random order. For me, I thought the easiest pallete to win with was the bucket(big man) - that was the second or third weapon I got from the lockers. The splattershot was decent. The brella's pallete turned out to be much stronger than I expected. It's sprinkler sub & ink storm special work well as damage multpliers.
Weapons I needed the most hacks for were the brush & luna blaster. I saved these for last, when I had the most hacks.
I don't know if there are some hacks you haven't tried yet. Some were surprisingly helpful, like the armor break jump. 2 or 3 buffs of that will save you from losing lives.
I didn't experiment with drone hacks & their respective chip buffs until later, and boy, that can get quite OP.

@OctolingKing13 I died like seven times. And the last one was in the SECOND floor of all things.
I THOUGHT I was going to enjoy the "permanent upgrades" mechanic, but I keep facing off against enemies who absorb my attacks like sponges, and keep spawning multiple ones to overwhelm me and cause my anxiety to skyrocket.
@card-crunch78 I would suggest just upgrading your armor and lives first, and making sure 15f and 25f always have a vending machine, that helps a lot. I donโt think getting all the hacks is necessary, thatโd be a lot of work. Iโm getting hacks as I complete the spire over and over slowly. Hope this helps, good luck .

@card-crunch78 Yeah, large amounts of enemies can be a pain to deal with. It might help to take care of a large chunk of them before getting back to your main objective. Or in the case of any levels where you're protecting zones, take care of them before they get to your zone if you're able to, especially the sprinkler enemies... you don't want those jerks hovering over your zones!
Also, just a quick tip from me. When you run out of ink and you're being followed by enemies, walk away from them for like a few seconds until you're at a comfortable distance. Then you can shoot a bit of ink on the ground, dive into it, and recover your ink completely without a fear of getting destroyed. This works because ink still regenerates if you're not dived into your ink already, albeit at a much slower pace.
And yes, I definitely agree with @OctolingKing13. You'll still want to continually get hacks after each attempt of yours, in addition to defeating enemies in the levels if you absolutely have to. Hope this all helped!

@card-crunch78 Oh I meant if you're able to afford hacks, guess I could've said that but I figured you knew that already. Sorry about that. Anyway, in that case, you could do another attempt to get some more prlz.

@card-crunch78 Is this your first Splatoon game? (no wrong answer)
There are some strategies in Splatoon that may take 100 hours, or hundreds of hours to figure out. And it's a bit ridiculous for most people to have that kind of time, so I don't see any crime in checking out someone's playthrough with a pallete on youtube. I bet you'll see them use something in a way you haven't tried yet. The depth of splatoon weapons is part of the beauty of the game.
So, weapon pallets unlock randomly in Side Order. I don't know if you've unlocked easier palletes to play with yet, or harder ones. What Side Order weapon pallete are you best with so far?
@WoomyNNYes Yes.
Yeah, I know, Iโm late to the series. No need to rub it in.
We all love splatoon in here.๐ This game has a lot of fun, and a lot of depth with all the weapon types. I was just genuinely curious if it was your first Splatoon game, in case I can help.
If you get stuck with a certain weapon during a type of challenge & difficulty level in Side Order, and you want to see how I do it, let me know. I try to get a similar scenario and save 1 or 2 switch clips to youtube so you can see how I do it.
I have been trying to write down the melody of Spectrum Obligato for piano but it is a lot harder than I thought it would be! I want to do an arrangement of it, but it's becoming increasingly clear that my skill is in reading music, not writing it!
@CaleBoi25 The tune at the opening of that Spectrum Obligato is sublime. I wish there was more of it through out song. It dissapoints me that they only play the tune for the first minute, and then you have to wait a full two minutes before they break out that tune again. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=emsfPUg3ezk
What are everyone's favorite special weapons in this game? I found myself using the Booyah Bomb, Killer Wail 5.1, Super Chump, and Tacticooler the most, since I feel that I am pretty decent at using those. I sometimes use the Triple Inkstrike, Triple Splashdown, and Trizooka as well.

@MarioVillager92 I love the triplesplashdown, itโs very op, but kraken royale is a close second. I love doing specials in side order, since I feel so powerful destroying all the jelletons lol

@MarioVillager92 I often resort to Super Chump for two reason, it paints, and it fires instantly - easy peasy. I would use Booyah Bomb more if we didn't have to spam the dpad to charge it. The act of charging the Booyah Bomb with the dpad feels like it interrupts & pulls me out of the game. I still use it sometimes though.
