Haven't been too active on Splatoon for a bit but the new season is definitely making me want to return once more. I think the two new maps we've seen look incredibly interesting from both a visual and mechanical perspective, the brand new Brella and Dualies also look like they'll be a blast to use (I cannot wait to start firing off shields like nobody's business with the Recycled Brella XD) and Side Order looks expectedly brilliant. March 1st (or more accurately, February 22nd) can't come soon enough honestly.
@vio If I'm not mistaken, Marooner's Bay was actually shown off after the trailer for Chill 2022 as a returning SR map so it is possible (plus given how this is supposed to be the Splatoon 2-themed season, I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest to see something like The Reef or Snapper Canal make a return).

@Fizza Yes, that is correct. That was because they put all the focus on the very first Big Run in that trailer. They've also handled Salmon Run reveals differently than PvP. Horrorboros for example was not revealed in a trailer, but on Twitter instead. I hope I'm wrong though. They've broken tradition for no apparent reason if there's no returning stage.
@vio Well, this past season, they didn't show Triple Splashdown in the trailer, and for the Side Order trailer they showed the Enperries with Reefslider instead to avoid spoiling it (Triple Splashdown and Reefslider are both reworks of the original splashdown), so I would not be shocked in the least--I would be ecstatic!!
I wonder when they’ll reveal the two other datamined amiibo. They’ve got to be for side order, right?

Wow, so much happening all at once! BUT. In the side order trailer, the person said "Pearl [...] who is now a drone." DID PEARL LITERALLY JUST BECOME A DRONE?!? It said the same thing in the french translation. I guess if this is some alternate world, it could happen, but I was not expecting that.
We got so much news today it’s crazy. Super excited for Side Order too, will probably die a lot considering I’ve never played any roguelikes but I’m guessing that’s one of the main purposes of it? I’m a bit worried about the new season too, the song that played in the trailer was amazing and it’s cool to see more Splat 2 gear coming back (hopefully it isn’t just catalog exclusive and they add more clothes to the shops) but one new stage and only eight kits again is kind of disappointing. Hopefully my opinion can change a bit once they reveal more details about the season. I’m also wondering about how various things in game like seasons/catalogs and Splatfests will be handled when updates eventually stop, part of me wants the game’s lifespan to be longer since we’re in 2024 already but I’ll just continue to enjoy it as it comes
There is a challenge scheduled for the start of the season, and the stages are marked "???." Every season, we get a challenge featuring the new stages, so if we aren't getting a second stage (which I doubt), what would the challenge be?
As a Dualie Squelchers main, the Douser Dualies FF are absolutely up my alley. Are they just a more extreme version of those, like they're even weaker, yet longer? Just so long as they have any bomb for a sub, they're highly likely to be a new main for me.
It seems like the dousers have 2 shooting modes like the s-blast.Its normal one is very long range but quite slow. But when you dodge roll the fire rate increases but its sacrificing the range.
What i find really neat is that normally, the small green nossels are tucked away but when you dodge roll the come out!
